05/10/2026: I really don't recommend this bakery. I had a very bad experience there during my pregnancy. That day, I ordered a croque-monsieur and simply asked for it to be warmed up. The person serving me already seemed very annoyed by my request to have it heated. I was served a Roquefort croque-monsieur, without being told that it was the Roquefort recipe. Being pregnant, I couldn't eat it. My mother and I were sitting in the bakery, and it was only when I bit into it that I discovered the taste of Roquefort. My mother pointed out that there had clearly been a mistake. We were then told that the croque-monsieurs at this bakery were indeed made with Roquefort, but still with an air of annoyance. However, they also had classic croque-monsieur sandwiches, and at no point was I asked or informed that the one I was served contained Roquefort cheese. Unfortunately, the situation escalated into an altercation with the person who served us, and I haven't been back to that bakery since. Today, being in a hurry between two appointments, I exceptionally had to grab a tuna sandwich for my son before picking him up from school. And there, another unpleasant surprise: the sandwich was practically empty. At this point, it's no longer just a question of the welcome or the service; it's also the quality and care given to the products that concern me. Two very disappointing experiences, at different times, and enough so that I absolutely do not recommend this bakery.

26/09/2026: Although the waitresses are pleasant, their cake reservation service is unreliable. I come every day for coffee and sometimes a meal. I reserved a cake at lunchtime for the evening. When we returned, the owner had decided to put it back on sale two hours before closing, thinking I wouldn't come back. We returned at 6:45 PM, knowing that everything goes on sale at 50% off at 7:00 PM and that I had something to do since I work nearby. We asked them to hold it so we could pick it up between 7:00 and 7:30 PM. When I returned to the shop, the owner passed me outside with a big, hypocritical smile. Yet another man with little integrity and a lot of courage, leaving it to his employees to announce HIS DECISION. Cowardice is easier. Marie Blachère doesn't offer a loyalty card. They could at least honor reservations when they know someone who comes every day. But apparently the owner didn't want to lose 5 euros. So, for my part, I won't be going back to buy anything, even though I used to buy something from them every day. It's not about the cake itself; there are far more serious things in life. It's about the principle of trust that should exist between people and between service providers and customers. I therefore recommend that you go to ANGE, located just outside Saint-Christol-les-Alès, towards Alès. Sincerely.
