17/05/2024: We had an incredible meal here as part of a Gastronomique weekend package at Le Monastere. The restaurant itself is elegant and the table settings wonderfully curated with artisanal pottery and cutlery (I want to find that wedge of a butter knife for my home!) The meal is an experience with course after course of creativity and taste. We were introduced to St Mont wine by our server, which we enjoyed and paired nicely with the meal, as well as a couple local Armagnacs, which we're looking forward to exploring even more and were a wonderful way to cap off a perfect meal. I can't compare it to the Bistro (as we didn't eat there on our far too short of a stay) but La Table is definitely worth the splurge. I can't wait to come back when next in southwest France. I would definitely make a detour to eat (and stay at the monastery) again.
