26/06/2026: You can read all sorts of reviews... I'm sharing my personal experience, as always.
First of all, we received a warm welcome. Both at lunchtime and in the evening, actually.
You can imagine that if we came in the evening, it's because this little restaurant had delighted us at lunchtime.
The fries are superb, the pizzas very generous and delicious.
A thick crust that not everyone will like.
My wife took our son to the restroom, and it was clean. The opposite of some of the older reviews.
It was a pleasant surprise for us.
No need to overeat, takeout is available. And it's even offered at the end of the meal.
In short.
I'll probably go back to try other pizzas or the meat. 👍🏻

High-quality and generous portions. A pleasant, homey atmosphere, while remaining very professional. A very good Pic Saint-Loup for €26 🍷
With "adjusted" prices, which is worth noting.
A delightful experience for us, as we were just passing through.

Sud Pizzas - Le Chat Laid

21/06/2026: As big fans of Jean Claude's pizzas, we've found his worthy successor. The pizzas are all excellent, generously topped with a wide variety of choices to suit everyone, and at very reasonable prices.

25/05/2026: Don't hesitate to stop by Sud Pizzas 🍕 The young owner is very friendly, his pizzas are perfect, and we were served immediately without a reservation. I recommend it. Chris.

The fish was good and tasty.
The meat was good, too bad it had already cooled down somewhat.
Otherwise, a nice restaurant with a good view. The staff speaks broken English, but you can manage with Translate.

27/06/2026: Snack/drinks break on the road. Lovely terrace along the river. Cardboard crepe, probably reheated from that morning (or worse). Ice cream served when sorbet was listed on the menu. The terrace is inviting, the food not.
21/06/2026: We ate at this restaurant last night.
My father-in-law is from the area, and having tried all the restaurants in Laroque, he considers this the best.
So, I really don't understand the previous negative reviews.
First of all, the service was excellent and very fast. The staff was lovely.
Our order arrived very, very quickly. We have two children, including a baby, so it's really appreciated to be served quickly, and that's exactly what happened.
And what we ate was absolutely delicious. All the best to you, and thank you for a lovely evening.
We'll be back!
