19/02/2026: The portions are very expensive for what you get. To be satisfied, you should order an appetizer, two main courses, plus rice and vegetables. Of course, for a woman weighing 60 kg, if you have a good appetite, double or triple the quantity; otherwise, you'll be hungry again within two hours. Very disappointed by the ridiculously small portions.
18/02/2026: The tables are stacked and crammed together, offering no privacy whatsoever, and you have to listen to your neighbor's conversation. The decor is reminiscent of an old Moroccan restaurant; they haven't even changed the lighting. The chairs are made of planks as smooth as cement, and some are filthy. As for the prices, it's a complete rip-off. A small plate of rice costs 7 euros, while a main course of 20 euros consists of three tiny pieces of chicken swimming in tomato sauce. It's hardly appealing...

We had a terrible experience at this hotel/restaurant in Toulouse. We arrived as a family (6 adults and 4 children), and the staff initially seated us at a table that clearly could not accommodate our group. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the waiter rudely and arrogantly ordered another family to move, which was extremely uncomfortable to witness.
Things only got worse. Because we were with children, we ordered accordingly, but the waiter aggressively insisted that we must order 7 separate curries, even counting two 2-year-old children as full orders. When we explained this was unreasonable, he threatened to kick us out if we didn’t comply.
His attitude was hostile, disrespectful, and frankly felt discriminatory. We have never been treated this way anywhere. Families and tourists should be very careful — this place has no respect, no hospitality, and no basic decency.
21/12/2025: One of the best Indian restaurants in Toulouse in every respect (and even among all the restaurants in the city...).
Excellent cuisine, prepared with care. A very pleasant owner who is passionate about his work. Not to mention a quality-to-price ratio that is becoming increasingly rare.
This isn't my first visit, nor will it be my last. Thank you for this culinary journey!

06/09/2024: Came to the restaurant late in the evening at about 10:00pm, quite a few customers dining and a nice bright atmosphere with a modern and informal ‘cafe’ setting. Staff are happy and attentive and the menu has enough variation and choice to please most tastes and pretences. A welcome cocktail on the house was a lovely surprise and a nice touch - My wife ordered a mixed starter platter food as a main course and I chose a chicken and lentil curry (along the lines of a Parsi ‘Dansak’ with a plain pilau rice). My wife’s starter arrived promptly and soon after my meal also came to the table (a little bit too fast for me to believe it was cooked with any detail or time ). Sadly, the first piece of chicken I cut into was cold so the food was sent back - it returned hot but the chicken was tough as though it had been re-heated, the sauce was thick and had an astringent taste as if spices had been added to it but not had time to cook in and mellow - tasted like a rushed base sauce had been added to but not properly cooked. My wife enjoyed her starters so they do some things well ! €17.50 for my curry without rice seems a lot to pay for ‘cafe’ style food ? From my experience today I can’t describe the curry as ‘restaurant’ quality but the prices are !? Shame, the staff are great and the atmosphere is good - I hope they can up their game ? (Suspicious of SO many 5 star reviews with 5 out of 5 for each category?)

Conviviality, warmth, smiles... what a pleasure this authentic place with Marie and Alain at the helm.
A great atmosphere (music and tapas), Pagnol-style anecdotes, expert knowledge of rugby and football, a service suitable for all ages, we ask for more...
It lives up to its name: it really is THE café in Toulouse.
