I am particularly surprised by the tone adopted in response to customer feedback. It would have been far more professional to acknowledge that an experience can be perceived differently, even without sharing that opinion, rather than immediately responding defensively.
If, as you claim, there is no service fee at your establishment, a response aimed at understanding or an internal review would undoubtedly have been more appropriate than implying an inaccuracy on my part, especially several months later.
My opinion simply remains an honest reflection of my experience: a dish I found bland, a particularly noisy atmosphere, and a final bill that contributed to my dissatisfaction.
The way an establishment responds to criticism often says as much as the experience itself.
08/05/2026: I'm discovering South Indian cuisine (although they also serve the more well-known North Indian dishes) and it's delicious. The service and the food are perfect.

18/04/2026: I just ordered take away and it was the smallest amount of food I've ever received, which was fine because the Saag paneer was almost inedible. The paneer was rubbery and flavorless and there was a thick oily taste as well, really strange paneer. The vegetable samosas were good.

The ambiance was pleasant and the service staff were courteous and attentive throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short where it mattered most—the food.Considering the price point and overall positioning of the restaurant, the lack of flavor was particularly disappointing.Overall, it was an underwhelming experience that did not meet expectations.
16/04/2026: Excellent! Beautiful decor, incredibly welcoming staff, and exquisite food! I had the three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend it!

12/05/2026: I'm a student. I was in Toulouse for work. After hearing about Le Monica restaurant for a long time, I went to eat there today and it was delicious! The staff was very friendly. I ordered butter chicken, naan, and chicken biryani, and I can still taste them. Plus, the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely go back with friends.

19/04/2026: The atmosphere is fine, but the food is a major problem. They can't even make rice properly; the dishes are truly mediocre, and you'll need a magnifying glass to find the meat. Furthermore, if the prices were low, it might be acceptable, but no, it's very expensive for what you get... definitely avoid this place!

06/09/2024: Came to the restaurant late in the evening at about 10:00pm, quite a few customers dining and a nice bright atmosphere with a modern and informal ‘cafe’ setting. Staff are happy and attentive and the menu has enough variation and choice to please most tastes and pretences. A welcome cocktail on the house was a lovely surprise and a nice touch - My wife ordered a mixed starter platter food as a main course and I chose a chicken and lentil curry (along the lines of a Parsi ‘Dansak’ with a plain pilau rice). My wife’s starter arrived promptly and soon after my meal also came to the table (a little bit too fast for me to believe it was cooked with any detail or time ). Sadly, the first piece of chicken I cut into was cold so the food was sent back - it returned hot but the chicken was tough as though it had been re-heated, the sauce was thick and had an astringent taste as if spices had been added to it but not had time to cook in and mellow - tasted like a rushed base sauce had been added to but not properly cooked. My wife enjoyed her starters so they do some things well ! €17.50 for my curry without rice seems a lot to pay for ‘cafe’ style food ? From my experience today I can’t describe the curry as ‘restaurant’ quality but the prices are !? Shame, the staff are great and the atmosphere is good - I hope they can up their game ? (Suspicious of SO many 5 star reviews with 5 out of 5 for each category?)

Conviviality, warmth, smiles... what a pleasure this authentic place with Marie and Alain at the helm.
A great atmosphere (music and tapas), Pagnol-style anecdotes, expert knowledge of rugby and football, a service suitable for all ages, we ask for more...
It lives up to its name: it really is THE café in Toulouse.
