Ganesha Corner

Saint-Vincent-De-Paul, Paris
13/02/2024: It's a shame that the level has dropped: the sambhar is tasteless and the vadas overloaded with chili, little taste interest on arrival. Afterwards it's not expensive.
29/12/2023: It's the worst ever Indian restaurant I've ever been to, at Gare du Nord. We were suggested this restaurant for their famous musthafa Parotta (chicken stuffed Protta). By the end of the lunch, people who actually suggested and ate along with us were totally deceived since the recipe had been changed unfortunately and it was what they had eaten a year back. 1st deception, looking at their stale and artificially added dark red colored tandoori chicken displayed at the entry. 2nd deception, On reaching and discovering their congested tiny tables of 4 (bad decor candy green walls in the dark corners of the restaurant). 3rd deception, the water who didn't pay heed to us for more than 15-20 minutes despite calling him several times and making sign languages (thinking that may be had some hearing disability). 4th deception, when he was finally at our table, didn't note down anything of what we ordered and missed items we ordered and confused our order with the next table. 5th deception, having mentioned less spicy and then when you discover that you are literally in tears and gasping for water and sweet drinks every bite of other food. The musthafa parotta was a terrible mistake, only chicken bones found in the stuffed parotta and huge pieces of onions with absolutely no taste or whatever. Sambar provided for the thick doses was like boiled and steamed vegetables in plain unsalted water , again no taste at all and bland. These last two were the only ones that weren't spicy. I've never eaten or tasted srilankan dishes...This is probably how their natives consume extremely spicy and strange combos...like idiyappam with keerai (spinach curry), sime kind of a spicy chitney, spicy lentil curry and spicy chicken curry side dish. Please call this as "srilankan" restaurant and not mention "Indian" restaurant (definitely not South indian)!. After being totally unsatisfied with their food and the money wasted 😒 at their place had to go to our favourite south Indian restart, which is just around 30 feet away from this place and satisfy both our taste buds and hunger needs. If you are looking for a proper south-indian restaurant with the right amount of spices, well cooked food with care of their customers, value for both money and taste then skip this tiny corner (so called) restaurant at all costs !!!

Chettinadu

Saint-Vincent-De-Paul, Paris
29/02/2024: In my top 3 of the best Indian restaurants tested in my life, in the Paris region (and I have tried many). Here, we eat India, in its most traditional way. Everything is tasty, well cooked, well seasoned. If you don't like it too spicy you can mention it, but still expect fragrant flavors. I recommend the Thali, and its farandole of small accompaniments, or the Dosa Masai, a huge pancake served with condiments. The staff is kind and attentive, and the place is family-friendly. Very affordable prices. I will come back, for sure.
25/02/2024: Fast and efficient service Very smiling, attentive and pleasant staff. Excellent value

25/02/2024: Food was delicious but atmosphere was as not good as it supposed to be.
10/02/2024: I visited this place back in 2011 with my cousins while staying nearby in Paris. The best was the Siripai. I hope I can visit again soon.
