Les meilleurs restaurantsde cuisine italienne en Tignes

23/08/2024: Arriving in this corner of Tignes on a Friday in August at 1 p.m., this restaurant was the only one open.. Probably what justifies absolutely exorbitant prices for a kitchen that is more than ordinary...?! 36€ for a simple flank steak (!!) and at that price, don't expect to be offered a little homemade sauce eh..! Ketchup, mustard, mayo like at the local Greek. The icing on the cake is that you have to choose between fries or vegetables for the garnish, there's no question of putting a bit of both on your plate: unheard of... And the only dish for less than €20 was the dish of the day, in this case a salmon "toast" with a large slice of bread completely browned. If this restaurant had a little competition in the area, it wouldn't last long with such value for money...! Never seen before for us...

27/03/2024: Horrible, rude staff who don't deserve all the British trade that they get. My family ordered pizzas and drinks and after 20 mins we asked if it would be much longer as we were getting cold waiting outside in the snow. The ginger haired male serving responded with a shrug of his shoulders and said in English, "speak French". In the 20 years as a loyal tourist to Tigne I have always found the local people to be very accommodating and friendly. I speak very little French but I do always try. My son used Google translate to ask if our order was being progressed or had we done something wrong. The male responded in a raft of angry French, shrugged his shoulders and turned his back. I was shocked at what I was seeing. I watched as a couple of teenagers were served half a cup of hot chocolate that was slammed down infront of them. They asked in English if it could be filled and got the same rude response. Minutes later our pizzas were shoved towards us. Avoid this place unless ypu are perfectly fluent in French. I shall be writing to the business as I really do feel upset by it all.
