18/02/2026: Everything was perfect, and it's the first time I've ever said that about a restaurant. The welcome and interaction were incredibly warm, unlike anything I've ever experienced, from the owner to the servers. The quality of the food was excellent. I've never eaten such good salmon in a restaurant; all the ingredients are fresh. I could eat sushi and sashimi every day if I could—it's paradise for the taste buds. The skewers were perfectly grilled 💯. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this restaurant. As a Japanophile, it's a 10/10 for me. I will definitely be back; this restaurant has become my favorite. ❤️
My order: tempura, maki, sushi, sashimi, skewers. I needed a lemon ice cream to wash down all that delicious food, which was also excellent. TOP 1 ✅️

11/01/2026: I usually order from Kanau on Rue de Bretagne, but it's closed. I used to get an assortment of sashimi, 12 nice, generous slices, for 9 euros, because there was a 10% discount for takeout. Tonight, I ordered sashimi for the first time from Sushi Tokyo, 12 slices for 12 euros. The slices were tiny, there was hardly anything to eat… I'm very disappointed for a first time 😔

20/03/2026: A truly awful waitress who, once again, treated my family with utter disrespect, even though the restaurant wasn't even full and we come often because we live nearby. And to be fair, the food is very good. Twenty minutes later, we still didn't receive the frozen lemon we ordered—yes, because she'd forgotten it!—and we had to take the dishes back to the kitchen ourselves to prepare the leftovers to take away. All this with a hungry four-year-old waiting at the table... The food is good, but the service is absolutely appalling. If you don't enjoy being a waitress, you should find another job. I want to emphasize that this isn't just a one-off; it's happened to me several times before.
06/03/2026: Never disappointed! For me, these are the best sushi in the neighborhood.
