03/08/2026: A two-part experience. An extraordinary one in June. A delightful culinary discovery with a friend who has been a long-time regular at Max and Maude's various restaurants. And then there was July: I recommended the place to a friend who immediately booked for four people and was turned away, even though she had warned them they would be 15 minutes late. (So, they were 15 minutes late...) My partner booked for my birthday lunch. We received an email two hours beforehand informing us that the service was canceled due to the heatwave?! It was 22 degrees Celsius that day, and 25 in the afternoon. And finally, my friend, who had introduced me to the place, found herself facing a closed door for summer vacation on her birthday, despite having a reservation made a month in advance and confirmed. There is a huge problem with the business practices at this restaurant. If the managers want to file for bankruptcy, they're on the right track, and they'll only have themselves to blame, not the system that Maxime often criticizes. One mistake is an accident; three in the same month suggests a deliberate strategy. It's a shame; with Maude's talent and Maxime's smooth talk, it should have been a success.

28/07/2026: A very pleasant restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's well worth going inside. The menu is original, striving to elevate local produce (weather permitting) with combinations of condiments and spices to rediscover basic ingredients at their best, all without any fuss. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the price is reasonable for quality local products. The service is excellent, with a friendly, approachable manner. The staff are happy to talk about their suppliers and share a joke if you're in the mood, all in a cozy atmosphere. Its proximity to the Jardin des Plantes in Orléans makes it easy to combine a good meal with a leisurely stroll or a pre-dinner walk. Thank you for your time here.

11/05/2026: Very disappointed with this company. We purchased a gift voucher for a dinner show at the cabaret in Marsac-sur-l’Isle near Périgueux, valid for one year. When we went to book, we discovered that the establishment had been permanently closed for several months, without any notification being sent to customers. Despite the complete impossibility of using the gift voucher, the company refused a refund, hiding behind its terms and conditions, which stated that it could be used elsewhere, more than four hours away. This is unacceptable: the service no longer exists, and customers were never informed of the closure. I also find it very unacceptable that the exact location wasn't clearly indicated on the tickets, even though we specifically mentioned Périgueux when booking. No serious solution was offered, no gesture of goodwill, just a refusal. I strongly advise against using this company, which is ripping off its customers. Very disappointed with this company.
