01/07/2026: The Laughing Pig, open for 20 years, and it's easy to see why. A rare restaurant in Flanders where everything is perfect: good food, a great atmosphere, and excellent value for money. I had a wonderful evening for a hen/stag do. DJ Hubert introduced us to his team of servers—a rare thing these days in a restaurant—so we knew who was taking care of our table, which was really nice. He also introduced us to the other guests' tables, where social barriers melted away and we all became friends for the evening. Music videos, current hits, and timeless classics... it was hard to choose between dancing and eating! 😅 The meal was hearty and well-presented, with quality meat. No complaints about the food or the service, even though it was quite a challenge to navigate the dance floor and deal with the complaints of the dissatisfied, but the smiles were always there! Our newlyweds left with stars in their eyes. Thank you, Laughing Pig. I recommend it.

30/06/2026: We were very disappointed with our evening on June 27, 2026. We came as a group of 28 people to celebrate the hen and stag parties of a couple getting married. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The owner seems to treat customers differently (a customer is a customer, after all) and didn't even bother to acknowledge the bride and groom in our group. The bartender was disrespectful, giving one of our friends the middle finger, and there was a billing error with an overcharge for a menu item. Furthermore, the portion sizes were appalling: a small piece of meat for the Flemish carbonnade and an enormous ramekin for the chicken with Maroilles cheese—very disappointing. We left very disappointed with this evening. An experience we do not recommend.
