17/04/2026: We dined here this week. I agree with the comments regarding the staff. They were welcoming warm and friendly. The room itself is a lovely size -a really pleasant space. The atmosphere was excellent. However the food was something which we both found disappointing. There were four entrees and four mains to choose from and we had two of each so we could try each others choice. We did not have desert. The entree of porc with sauce was ok. The porc was thinly cut and lukewarm. The sauce, to me, seemed unremarkable. The other entree was eight mushrooms with a stuffing of cheese. The cheese was strong and dominating. The main was a bland white fish, with stone cold spinach and a sliced potato with some savoury sauce. It was ordinary. The other main was a version of cauliflower cheese. It was tasty. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I failed to see, or taste, the fusion. I simply do not understand the rave reviews as based on this week’s experience something was truly missing here.

05/04/2026: Absolutely LOVED this place. Had the veal chop, duck confit, scallops and risotto for mains, everyone was amazing. Had the squash soup and foie gras for starters, also both awesome. So highly recommend this restaurant!

04/04/2026: The downsides of overtourism: skyrocketing prices while the quality remains unchanged. It seems the tourists themselves aren't falling for it, as the restaurant wasn't full. We won't wait until a steak costs over €50 and will now go to restaurants that cater to the real locals, without treating them like cash cows. Thankfully, there are still some left. "Goodbye, Mademoiselle."

20/04/2026: Pilates class with Thea on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am (time subject to change) at L’Echappée, number 13. This is the new space for group classes and events opened by Peloton, just two doors down from the café. The space is very pleasant. The entrance is on a small paved square, and the room is bright yet private. The class is in English with a fantastic English-speaking group led by Thea, a classical and contemporary dancer with boundless energy. I highly recommend it! A great routine focused on the back, abs, legs, and overall well-being.

25/04/2026: A truly delightful experience; everything was perfect, from the warm welcome and inviting, beautifully decorated atmosphere to the enticing menu with a choice of set menus or à la carte options. The dishes were fabulous in both presentation and taste! Absolutely flawless, with fresh, expertly prepared ingredients! We'll be back.

11/05/2026: Incredible restaurant, I highly recommend it! The food is excellent, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the owners are incredibly kind. They welcomed our group of 11 into a room at the back of the restaurant, which allowed us to talk freely without disturbing the other customers. The value for money is also excellent! What more can I say… Perfect, perfect, perfect!

10/05/2026: We were extremely disappointed by the food at this small, highly-rated restaurant. While the welcome and service were impeccable, and the dining room was cozy and attractively decorated, the food itself was far from satisfactory! The croquettes for starters were rather bland, and the ginger chicken and confit pork were swimming in an unsubtle and indigestible sauce. One of us even suffered from stomach pains during the night... In short, we do not recommend it.

12/04/2026: Second visit to Les Bougresses, still as good as ever, still as warmly welcomed. The prices are more than reasonable for the center of Paris. Delicious beef bourguignon, perfectly cooked! A very enjoyable experience!

22/04/2026: The best meal ever…again! The mi-cuit chocolate “lava” cake is amazing. We had shared one in a previous experience but this time all three I’d us had one. It’s just too good to share. Ask to sit upstairs…it’s super cozy.
