07/04/2026: "Oma bis" is over, or almost (kimchi will remain on the menu, but not the famous Oma rice). Chef Park Ji-hye has left, and her successor (see below), with a Japanese culinary tradition after this Korean interlude, is expected to take over the kitchen by the end of April. In an Easter mood, I suppressed any negative reaction upon learning that at lunchtime, only a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert was offered, with cauliflower gratin as an alternative for vegetarians. The "always" star dishes (beef tartare with nori seaweed and rice, or sea bass fillet with beurre blanc) are served in the evening. My impromptu plan B involved creating a flavor triangle by ordering the superb homemade kimchi and a bottle of Serragghia Fanino from the island of Pantelleria (Domaine Gabrio & Giotto Bini, a Sicilian wine somewhere between red, orange, and rosé, a beautiful blend of Catarratto and Pignatello grapes grown halfway between Sicily and Tunisia). These wonderful ingredients resonated perfectly with the creamy mushroom and shiitake soup, and then with the slow-cooked chicken supreme, accompanied by marinated soybean roots and a carrot purée with sweet garlic, drizzled with chili oil. Without the kimchi, the amount of vegetables would have been insufficient to offset the relative dryness of the chicken. The strawberry panna cotta was very fresh and delightful. This rather well-executed seasonal cuisine was enough to hasten the arrival of spring; which is the main thing while waiting for what's to come. This suite is named after Benjamin Pannier, sous-chef at the ERH restaurant on rue Tiquetonne. He trained under Keita Kitamura (ERH then Apothéose, a 1-Michelin-star restaurant in Tokyo), Ryuichi Utsumi (ERH), and also with the legendary Kosuke Nabeta at Sola, on rue de l'Hôtel Colbert in the 5th arrondissement. The next visit (preferably in the evening) will be the perfect opportunity to explore the sake menu!

09/03/2026: I tried the seafood don and it was very delicious. Many types of fish were served and all were very fresh. It was value for money because the portion was so BIG! You must try if you wanna experience great Japanese food in Paris. And the staff (or the boss) were very friendly.

11/12/2025: Probably the best curry in Paris. The fact that there are now two locations in the capital has drastically reduced the waiting time. You can either eat in if there's space, or take it to go and relax in one of the many nearby parks to enjoy it.

10/12/2025: Exceptional dinner. I enjoyed both the food and the intimate atmosphere created by the small restaurant. Keep in mind that you'll have to wait in line, so I recommend arriving early.

15/03/2026: We stumbled upon this shop on a whim and received excellent service. The selection is fantastic, and the owners possess an incredibly vast amount of expertise. A must for every tea lover.

05/03/2026: A Thai restaurant in the heart of the Marais district offering a wide selection of traditional dishes. The staff is very friendly and the place is beautifully decorated.

25/03/2026: Unfortunately, this was a disappointment! We came here because of the positive reviews. The service was mediocre; one employee sorted popcorn into the glasses with her bare hands and was anything but polite. The food was edible, but that's about it. It was lukewarm and lacked any interesting or appealing flavor. We wouldn't go back.

05/03/2026: The waiter is very personable and likeable, very efficient and interested in his customers. I’ve been to Salento 3 times now, and always have a pleasant experience. Now the food is of course what brings me back here, I love the sausage and cream pasta. It’s sophisticated, tastes like it’s a cream mixes with Wine which perfectly meshes with a sausage. It’s close to perfection for me. And that is why I give it a 5 star review.

14/03/2026: We enjoyed the restaurant and it felt like a local spot versus something touristy. The creme brûlée was amazing. The French onion soup was delicious. My husband loved his fried cheese. The gnocchi was great. I ordered the boeuf bourguignon and thought that it was good, not not exceptional. The meat didn’t fall off or melt in your mouth and there were some fatty tough pieces.

10/03/2026: Came here after the museum nearby. The food was fine, but they asked me for a tip. I felt a little weird, asked them "how much do people tip in Paris?" - waitor blew his mouth and said something super vague. So I tipped 15%. And later I found out later that you don't typically tip in France. Felt like they were abusing cultural habits of people elsewhere :(

14/03/2026: It's rare to find good bento boxes. Intimate atmosphere, few tables. The owner is lovely. A very pleasant experience.

07/03/2026: Definitely the best sushi and sashimi in Paris! The freshness of the ingredients and the taste are guaranteed 👍🏻 Plus, the chef gives a very warm welcome. We never tire of this place!
