15/07/2026: You can see the difference between the southwest, where they're incredibly welcoming and even seat you in the best spots if you have a reservation, though they'll move you later if other people arrive.
Here, on the contrary, the staff is incredibly unfriendly. Despite all the empty tables, they tell you that even though there's still an hour before your reservation, "Oh no, it's not possible: I won't have time to clear the table." Well, yes, that's asking too much!
This is how they treat tourists. We come here every summer, and we won't be back.
We prefer to go to the Monaco market, where the prices are just as reasonable, with the added bonus of respect and kindness from the customers, and similar service.
11/07/2026: We had a wonderful meal during the height of summer for around €80 as a family with two children.
We ordered a mixed platter with six unique open-faced sandwiches to share, a charcuterie board, and a cheese board (we were a little critical of the cheese board, being from the Auvergne region, we're picky about cheese, you know 😅). But it all came with two Pagos (a type of soft drink) for the children and a lovely bottle of rosé from the Var region for the parents! 🍷 A great place for a quick and delicious meal 👌

10/07/2026: When we arrived, a man seated us and asked if we wanted water. We told him we wanted plain still water. Then a very friendly woman came to take our order and gave us excellent advice.
Despite the woman's good service, the dishes were bland and uninteresting.
After a mixed meal, we were shocked when the bill arrived and found we were charged €7 for water! We had asked for tap water, plain still! The first man who brought us the water neither mentioned nor informed us that it was extra, and when we went to pay, he spoke to us in a very condescending, even arrogant, manner, telling us that it was normal to charge for water and that we were the ones with the problem. I do not recommend this establishment, despite the warm welcome from the woman who served us, which was also our opinion when we paid!
I understand why this restaurant has such poor reviews. And why there was no one there on that Friday evening.

12/07/2024: The other night I invited 2 friends from abroad. We arrived at the entrance, waited, personel stood around. I entered to ask for a table and they moved away. We installed ourselves at an empty table. 20 minutes later I had to go and fetch someone who accompanied me with the menus, placed them on the table and then left. Not even a request to take a drink order. We (4) ordered antipasti, served on a platter, with 3 slices of bread (we are 4!). I asked for plates because I do not serve food on to my hand (no plates served) to feed from. We ordered 2 Spritz and a bottle of Rose. Spritz arrived but the wine 15 minutes later. Pizza (x2) served were good (I live in the area) but again no individual plates. This is not a "finger food place" with prices twice as high as next door. Dessert, my guest asked for a Sorbet made of Lemon. Server said they did not have it until I showed it noted on the menu. I asked for the bill to pay, 2 reminders and 40 minutes later, we were thinking just to get up and go. I was told there was no manager. Mr. Colagreco, you have the 3 star michelin Mirazur down the road but this is not a restaurant, just a Peccato Nero. Better alternatives are the Lido, Brazza, or the Cote Sud.
05/07/2024: Was told the chef has won awards for the pizza. I chose REINE, meaning queen, which felt suitable for me, travelling alone, being my own boss. :)
The pizza was good, the view of the harbour is very nice. Very friendly service, the waiter was sweet. For dessert, I chose the ovenbaked apple with the green apple sorbet to go with it - it was perfection. Would go back for it again.
