05/06/2026: A wonderful discovery during lunch with a friend! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and homemade. The only downside was the lack of parking. I highly recommend this Portuguese cuisine!

24/05/2026: Very rude staff... I went into the restaurant with my girlfriend to eat. I spoke French with a waiter, whose French was broken, and his overweight colleague behind him kept shouting "not English"... You work in the hotel and restaurant industry, a little common courtesy wouldn't hurt.

30/06/2026: A place that has become a focal point of our village and that many envy! A lovely team, excellent services, entertainment, and a unique atmosphere!

29/06/2026: The tobacconist is extremely well-stocked, always offering new products to the delight of both children and adults. It's great because there's a huge selection. My only slight complaint is that, three or four times now, a woman of a certain age has been really unpleasant to speak to; her tone was curt and she made inappropriate remarks to customers. In a shop, customer service is essential... and that's what I like least about this place.

16/06/2026: We stumbled upon this Portuguese restaurant during an impromptu lunch, and what a pleasant surprise! The €16 lunch menu offers a starter, main course, and dessert, all of remarkable quality. We were particularly impressed by the dish recommended by the owner: cod à la Braga. The cod fillet was exquisite, with a crispy exterior and a fresh interior, accompanied by delicious potato slices. The elegant presentation of the dish was also noteworthy. The homemade flan for dessert, garnished with a slice of orange and caramel, was the perfect ending to this delicious meal. The service was impeccable, the value for money excellent, and the quality of the food undeniable. We highly recommend this establishment and look forward to returning. I've also included photos of the dishes we enjoyed to share this visual experience with others.

08/04/2026: Thank you to Marcia and Philippe, we chose their restaurant O AVEIRO to celebrate the christening of our nine-year-old daughter with our family. There were 26 of us on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Everything was perfect, from the service to the delicious food. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return! 👍

The dishes were generous and delicious, with authentic Portuguese flavors. A friendly place where you eat well and feel comfortable, perfect for a night out with friends after a motorcycle ride. Consider the quality and the price this is one of the best restaurant I've ever been. The staff is really nice too. 5 stars are absolutely deserved

19/07/2026: Having celebrated a birthday at this restaurant a few years ago and occasionally returning, I was always satisfied until today... the flavor of the food has changed drastically. My pork in the Alentejana dish was inedible, with a strong, rubbery, and tough taste... I sent the dish back to the kitchen... The lovely waiter offered us a coffee or other drink as an apology, but it wasn't enough to make up for it, as I left hungry. It's a shame; we won't be going back.

29/06/2026: Total disorganization of the service. The service was extremely slow, the wait was very long, and I found the staff completely unprofessional. Many tables were empty, but they preferred to clear them first instead of welcoming customers who waited an hour without a word of apology or courtesy. After being seated, we had to ask for the menu ourselves for 15 minutes, otherwise we could have been stuck at the table for two hours doing nothing. The wait to be ordered was very long because the staff preferred to clear tables where there were no more customers. We ordered a bottle of white wine, and after opening it, the waitress turned away immediately without offering a tasting. You have to ask for a waste bowl, otherwise they won't provide it. Bread was served to every table except ours; we had to ask several times before we finally got some. The seafood platter arrived without the sauces; you have to ask again, otherwise they'll never provide them. Everything has to be requested before you get it. We could easily serve them ourselves. Looking at other reviews, I think I'm not the only one with these kinds of comments. I should have checked the Google reviews before coming; if I had known, I never would have gone to this kind of restaurant.

29/06/2026: Pedra Alta in Thiais offers generous Portuguese cuisine with excellent grilled meats. The portions are substantial, but the wait can be long. A predictable but satisfying option.
