04/07/2026: Traditional Portuguese food, welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.

19/06/2026: We were promised an authentic Portuguese culinary experience (the food was fine for me), but I'm not sure Portugese cuisine has to include so many condescending remarks about your looks and unnecessary amounts of touching to the face and shoulders while serving you. My child was unnecessarily touched on their face and shoulders repeatedly, having handled food and drink immediately prior to coming to visit our table. This left them feeling uncomfortable and mildly distressed deform the experience. When the bill was presented the same waitress made a remark about how the young man was paying, which maybe didn't translate well from Portugese to French but it came across as rude. Any interaction with this waitress just made our visit to this restaurant worse, which is a shame as the outdoor setting is beautiful and they take great care in the decor. The other waiters and waitresses didn't seem so condescending towards the guests. The menu itself is very meat heavy and a bit light on vegetables. Order the fish with a soup for a decent experience otherwise they don't season the meat very much. The drinks are at least ok and the whole meal was reasonably priced for Strasbourg. Shame it had to be ruined by the waitress.

02/08/2026: Fantastic Portuguese restaurant! The dishes are excellent, very generous, and prepared with care. I had a seafood cataplana, which was incredibly generous, overflowing with seafood, and absolutely delicious. A real treat! The welcome is truly warm; we were made to feel very welcome, and the staff takes the time to chat with the customers, which is increasingly rare and very much appreciated. You feel right at home. I recommend this restaurant 100%; you can go without hesitation!

18/08/2026: Wide selection of burgers to suit all tastes; the brioche bun is good, served with fries. **AIR-CONDITIONED DINING ROOM Very friendly welcome and fast service, displayed on a screen. Only downside: the restrooms were under renovation and didn't have a sink on the day of my visit. Great meal, I recommend it!

01/08/2026: Avoid at all costs. We had already had lunch a little further down the street and were about to leave when our child urgently needed to use the restroom. My husband went into the establishment and very politely asked an employee if our child could use the restroom. He received a positive response. So we went upstairs. As we had several hours of driving ahead of us, I decided our second child would also go to the restroom. A few seconds later, an older man, who seemed to be the manager, came running up and started yelling at us, repeatedly saying that "this isn't a public restroom" and that "we're in Versailles." If you don't want people using your restroom, simply say "no" from the start. That's your right. However, giving permission, letting a family with two young children in, and then going upstairs to shout at them is simply unacceptable. We travel a lot, and this was the first time in France that we were treated with such disrespect. Even hotels near the Eiffel Tower, where we weren't guests, welcomed us kindly in a similar situation. The memory we'll retain of this establishment isn't its food or service, but the image of a manager yelling at a family with children for a basic bodily emergency. This lack of humanity and professionalism is unworthy of an establishment open to the public. And invoking "Versailles" to justify such behavior is, in my opinion, particularly inappropriate. Versailles evokes elegance, culture, and the art of hospitality, certainly not yelling at a family with young children who had been allowed to use the restroom. Such an attitude does no credit to the image of Versailles. We will never set foot in this place again and will not recommend it to anyone. *Response to the administration's response in pictures ____
