20/02/2026: A pure delight! Birthday meal, table of 10 / aperitif and set menu: €37 Restaurant in the heart of Lagny-sur-Marne serving semi-gastronomic cuisine. It had been a long time since I'd eaten so well. Homemade foie gras baked egg: perfectly cooked with a real piece of foie gras. Sea bass fillet with shellfish sauce, served with mashed carrots and rice. Delicious fish flavor and perfectly cooked. Floating island: simply divine! My spoon lingered in the homemade profiteroles: pure bliss. In short, exceptional value for money and impeccable service. I'll be back very, very soon.

12/12/2025: The gizzard salad needed more vinegar, and it was a shame to have added onions. The beef bourguignon was good.

11/12/2025: For the first time in 20 years, I left this restaurant disappointed (I ordered sirloin steak, perfectly cooked, but the meat was far too tough—just bad luck? I hope so). Otherwise, the place has just been completely renovated and remains a very pleasant spot by the water... I returned a month later, and everything was back to normal, from the service to the food; everything was perfect that evening... (One mistake in 20 years... that's still reasonable 😉). Until next time... The story continues... After this negative experience in August (the exception), a visit in September and another in December confirm the August exception... EXCELLENT... dishes on the menu change frequently... quality food... impeccable service... very good times spent in this establishment located on the banks of the Marne. See you soon at the VILLA.

10/12/2025: I had the same unpleasant experience as that woman with her 4-year-old daughter when trying to access the restroom. I was accosted as soon as I left the restroom. What shocks me is the manner of doing it, not the substance of the matter. Admittedly, these aren't public restrooms, but in an emergency, it seems to me that the basic principle is to allow access. In several countries around us, this is even enshrined in law. This lack of humanity—and yes, madam, it is a lack of humanity—only reinforces my doubts about returning to this establishment. I recently found the prices far too high for the quality, but I must say, this takes the cake! At what point do you consider being unpleasant to a customer a good business strategy? Just because you think you have some kind of monopoly on the banks of the Marne doesn't mean you should abuse it.

08/12/2025: As a customer, I arrived with my 4-year-old daughter in a genuine emergency, unable to hold it in. I asked for help, clearly explaining the situation. Despite this, the employee and her manager refused, showing absolutely no compassion, leaving me to manage a situation they could have easily prevented. It's shocking to see an establishment open to the public turn its back on a mother and child in distress. A little basic humanity would have sufficed. RESPONSE: Refusing any assistance in an exceptional case, in the name of strict rules, demonstrates, in my opinion, a lack of empathy, not poor management of the establishment. My opinion reflects this experience and is intended solely to inform others facing similar situations. I encourage you to consider that a little basic humanity doesn't invalidate your rules, but can make all the difference in critical moments.
