21/05/2026: Note about the restaurant (didn't try the hotel).
Very warm, friendly, and professional service. Reasonable prices, and board games suitable for children to keep them entertained while they wait.
The food is quite good, with a minor complaint about the beef tartare, which was of good quality but not the best (I'm quite picky) as it seemed ground up and had some irregularities, but it was still more than acceptable (the flavor was there).
A little outside the city center, which adds to the peace and quiet (for the terrace) and makes parking easy (free).

18/07/2026: The room is in dire need of renovation. There was mold in the bathroom. The heating vent in the room was missing. The bed linens were spotless.
12/07/2026: Hotel in Franqueville, outdated, no ventilation or air conditioning, noisy on the road side! Absolutely avoid it during the summer or heatwave!! Worst hotel night I've ever experienced! Unpleasant staff when returning the key card after we pointed out the lack of ventilation and the stifling temperature in the room! We pay for a service, whatever it may be! Friendliness is part of that... Campanile is not what it used to be 😡 Definitely blacklist it

L'Auberge du Plateau

09/11/2024: We stayed for 1 night to break up the drive. For the good things, the staff. The receptionist was very welcoming and happy to help. The breakfast was also good. However, the room felt small and cramped.
15/09/2024: The room itself was fine, except for a "blackout" curtain that was much too short. The bathroom smelled like a clogged drain, and the shower door needed repairing.
We discovered at the last minute that the hotel restaurant was booked by a group, and although there were a few tables left, we had to find an alternative.
At least the welcome was friendly.
