Le Vert Bocage sur Franqueville-Saint-Pierre

We tried the restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise on the eastern plateau. The burgers are huge and excellent, the passion fruit mojito is very good, and the desserts… I found them to be XXL! We'll definitely go back and try them on Sunday for brunch.

The room was very pleasant and spotlessly clean. The bedding was excellent. The staff was perfect: we were warmly welcomed, served, and given very kind advice at the restaurant, where we had a wonderful dinner. Thank you.

A wonderful discovery! We tried the Sunday brunch as a group of five and were pleasantly surprised. The welcome was warm, with a clear and appealing presentation of the buffet. Arriving around 1:15 pm, we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves, going from starter to main course to dessert 😁. The buffet was truly comprehensive and varied: pastries, French toast, crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, chicken, potatoes, fruit juice, coffee, raclette… and much more. Everything was high quality and delicious, a real treat 👍. One small point for improvement: at one point, they were short of glasses and spoons, but the server was very responsive after we asked. Also, the dish labels, while well-designed initially, tend to get moved by customers, which can be confusing. Special mention for the end of service: the server took the time to go around to each table to ask if we wanted seconds before clearing the buffet. A professional touch that makes all the difference. At €32 per person, the value for money is excellent. Fast service, friendly and attentive staff. Remember to book: even at 1:30 pm, it was still very busy! A very good experience; we will definitely be back.

My husband and I had lunch there this Sunday. It was our first time, but certainly not our last. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was excellent! ☺️ Full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. And we're quite picky! Special mention to the kind waiter with glasses—I don't know his name—who was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Thank you.

The room wasn't very spacious but was adequate. The bathroom was very cramped. Good value for money. On-site parking. On-site restaurant. The only major drawback was the noise in the evening for the room directly above the restaurant.

Our goal was Restaurant Le Vert Bocage for a romantic lunch. On March 20, 2026, a sunny Friday, the adjoining outdoor terrace was packed with diners (white decor + bar). It's a welcoming place with a tempting menu and friendly service—taste was the deciding factor in our à la carte choices. For example, Madame had scallops with leeks and a fava bean crème brûlée for dessert; Monsieur had a rump steak with fries and a floating island dessert with crème anglaise. We enjoyed the famous Tongerlo beer and mineral water, all served with impeccable service! Note that on Friday evenings, if the Normandy sun is shining, there's entertainment on the terrace, and on Saturday evenings, mussels and fries. (And on the 26th, we have a reservation at L'Odas for lunch.)

If you have the time, we arrived at 12:15 PM and it's now 3 PM and we're still waiting for our coffee and tea. It's taking far too long, much too long. We won't be back.

Even without a reservation, it was a beneficial stay.

Lovely hotel, spotless and comfortable room. Efficient, friendly, and attentive staff. The restaurant meal was sophisticated, fresh, and delicious! Perfect! I can't wait to use the beautiful terrace!
