27/04/2024: Another great discovery, what am I saying? A nugget off the beaten track that I discovered by chance while booking on the road, in relation to my itinerary.
From the moment you enter, the welcome is friendly and this will continue throughout, with service that is as cheerful as it is efficient.
As for the cooking, it's simple, it's fresh, it's good products, the portions are copious and it's very good!
The single dish, the starter or the dessert are available separately, or in pairs, or the whole set, with an interesting choice.
In summary, during my next visit to Fumel, I will not look for where to stop for lunch, this is where I will come with my eyes closed.

The dishes are always excellent. There is a constant search for flavors and combinations that make the experience in this restaurant always very good.
Don’t hesitate to ask the sommelier for an alcohol-free food pairing, he’s full of super cool ideas and he’s not shy about talking about them!
28/05/2024: Came for lunch, very good time on the terrace, friendly and smiling service, very fine, original, delicious cuisine at reasonable prices (menus). We will come back, for sure!

A small restaurant in size (modest) but great in its services! Congratulations to the whole team, from the service to the kitchen.

17/05/2024: Déçus par la formule midi ordinaire (porc ou lieu) qui nous a été facturée d’emblée à la carte ! Les cafés facturés en plus alors que nous avions choisi le café gourmand proposé dans la formule.
Et surtout nos remarques n’ont même pas reçu d’excuses !
Dommage car le cadre est superbe.

31/05/2024: We had the chance to eat on the terrace, even though the weather was uncertain before we arrived. Hats off to the welcome, the suggested aperitifs are killer! The menu is just right, and the dishes are delicious! A nod to the waitress who had incredible patience with 2 young Dutch people behind us who drank 2 cokes and who sat on the terrace at a table of 4! 👍 🙏.

20/05/2024: Very pleasant discovery of a gourmet restaurant: opposite the Château de Blois, on the shore of the Loire, finally real French cuisine.
The two of us chose for lunch, main course + dessert:
. Sweetbreads: the house’s signature dish and we understand why 😀
. poultry ballotine: well-controlled and tasty cooking
. Raspberry tartlet on caramel cream: good pastry
. but special mention for the mango sorbet on a fresh apricot soup: a combination of good taste and refreshing.
All served with kindness, good wine advice (by the glass) for each dish.
Well done to the chef and the whole team.
