As we pass through this unusual village, our gaze falls on the 16'80 sign and the house overlooking the road. Not far from the church (Saint Martin), dating from 1614. The 16'80 year of construction of the complex, sparingly restored, takes us back in time. Fabienne (conductor and orchestra) welcomes us and tells us the story of this beautiful house. The decor is sumptuous, and the table settings are understated and effective. The background music is soft, romantic, and at a volume that allows us to hear each other, the atmosphere is captivating.
Between spaces of conviviality and privacy, the smell of ash transports us back in time, and the image of a crackling, reassuring fire immediately invites us to enjoy. The welcome is warm and confirms that we are in a generous establishment. The menu is simple, with no over-the-top exotic dishes or EU products. The daily special is local, and it's good. For dessert, I recommend the Baileys, a balanced ice cream based on the eponymous drink.
