We ate at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere is very old-fashioned. If you're looking for something modern, you'll have to look elsewhere. For starters, we had a tarte flambée called "tête de lard" (bacon head), which was truly exceptional, a big thumbs up! For the main courses, a hanger steak with shallots and a veal escalope with cream sauce, we would say they were good, nothing more. Not exceptional, but not bad either. For dessert, a very good homemade tart and a good iced meringue, but I was disappointed by the canned whipped cream. We will return specifically for the tarte flambée.

If you're looking for authentic Alsatian cuisine that's truly well-prepared, go for it! The service was excellent! The dishes were delicious, although my mom's sauerkraut is still the best. It's a fantastic find! An award-winning restaurant popular with locals. I highly recommend it!

It is located in the small street so that it is pretty quiet to avoid touristic place. They have tarte flambe and carpaccio as much as you want. Reasonable price and good service.

A charming little restaurant tucked away on a quiet street in the city center! The decor immerses you in Alsatian traditions, the service is simple and very warm, and the waiter has a very friendly smile! The traditional Alsatian cuisine is delicious and generous... you wouldn't expect anything less from a true Alsatian... in short, a very charming place that I highly recommend if you're looking to have a pleasant time.

28/09/2026: The staff were inflexible in seating arrangements. My group of 15 had made reservations in advance, but upon arrival, we found one empty table with 7 seats on the sidewalk. We decided to split into two groups, one sitting on the sidewalk and the other inside, but our explanation was not accepted. Between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM, the restaurant was overcrowded, overwhelming the staff, resulting in slow response times. Ordering beer or getting more drinks was difficult.
28/09/2026: A very pleasant discovery during my visit to Strasbourg. The atmosphere is lovely, and the tarte flambée is excellent for a very reasonable price compared to others in the city and elsewhere. The spaetzle is also delicious! The servers are friendly. However, the place is a bit noisy. And I was disappointed with my "café gourmand" because I was told it would include a profiterole and a scoop of ice cream, but instead, I received a plate with mascarpone cream and a tiny piece of warm apple cake... I wasn't expecting that.
