Excellent evening in a magnificent setting, the welcome and attentive service, the cocktails, the meal, everything was perfect, We had a fantastic evening!
The food is very good but the service is rather casual and above all they resort to a detestable practice - which we thought was a thing of the past - of immediately assigning the table in the worst location when many others are available.
We were drawn to A Mandria di Pigna for lunch after a drive through the mountain villages in the stunning surroundings. We didn't have a reservation, but there was room. On the beautiful outdoor terrace, we enjoyed the shade and breeze on this warm day.
We chose the three-course lunch menu with a choice of either. The host was welcoming and explained the menu thoroughly. Wine and water were included. The price-quality ratio was excellent. The veal stew was flavorful and a bit salty, which suited the warm weather.
We had a wonderful afternoon here.
In a bucolic setting, after a warm welcome, we enjoyed delicious and hearty Corsican dishes. For lovers of fine wine, the restaurant offers some very fine bottles.
An establishment to recommend without reservation.
