A great stop on the N7. A true roadside diner, simple and friendly, with impeccable service and very kind people. Old-fashioned cuisine just the way we like it: lentils, cervelas sausage, good daily specials… The meat was very good, and the homemade desserts were too, with a truly excellent chocolate mousse. You can eat there at your leisure, in a very calm atmosphere, and the terrace is really pleasant. The restaurant is also very popular with local tradespeople, and that usually speaks volumes about the value for money. An unpretentious place, but perfect for a good break on the road.

We slept in our campervan and trailer in the truck parking area. €2 per hour, but parking is free if you buy something. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff, clean restaurant, good quality breakfast

Hotel du Bourbonnais

20/06/2026: Excellent value for money and old-fashioned service: discreet, friendly, and efficient. What more could you ask for? Special mention goes to the meat, which was cooked exactly as requested (and that's rare enough to be worth highlighting).
31/05/2026: A very pleasant hotel and restaurant. A lovely surprise in the heart of Lapalisse. Excellent value for money and a warm welcome.
