18/02/2026: For my sweetheart's birthday, I treated us to a meal at La Table d'Antoine. So? The welcome was excellent. This was followed by a highly original house cocktail made right in front of us. Then came two "Experience" menus at €109 each... and a parade of dishes followed, each more surprising than the last, but all delicious. The combinations were daring, even unusual, but never in bad taste. It's an adventure worth treating yourself to, if only to discover a restaurant in Vichy that's truly worth the trip. The chef wouldn't disagree, acknowledging that, even if we all strive for perfection, it doesn't exist. In fact, if I had to offer any criticism, I'd suggest that if I were to return, the meal might be less "creamy." Too many dishes presented in the form of creams of all kinds. Halfway through the meal, we prayed there wouldn't be any more... but even though each individual cream was delicious, too much is simply too much. The menu would greatly benefit from being "less creamy." Aside from this easily improved detail, we were delighted with this wonderful discovery. 07/04/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter brunch at La Vieille Auberge. We were lucky that the weather was already beautiful and we were able to sit on the terrace. Despite the Easter crowds, the very friendly and professional staff served us promptly, and we enjoyed a delicious meal. A tip for foreign tourists: they don't accept credit cards. Bring cash.

I would have preferred a more understated and refined decor, reflecting the flavors and presentation of the dishes. Nevertheless, all the ingredients are there for a pleasant time with family or friends.

05/04/2026: It's a magnificent restaurant. What they call risotto is a bed of soft rice with prawns and St. Jacques cheese, and perfectly cooked fish (not raw, not dry). For a starter, I ordered a mixed seafood platter, which was superb (very well-balanced: 2 oysters, 2 prawns, 2 snails, and 2 langoustines), and for dessert, ravioli with citrus fruits. The service is top-notch. Thank you for these last two dinners.

14/03/2026: We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary there. Guillaume's talent and inventiveness delighted our taste buds; from the salmon to the praline éclair, everything was delicious. His partner provided attentive and friendly service, and we had an unforgettable time. Thank you both, we will be back soon because every meal is a wonderful discovery.

24/03/2026: Absolutely delicious! A very pleasant surprise, the menu skillfully reinvents pasta and pizza with attention to detail, culminating in a delicious and subtle chestnut mousse dessert... Kudos for the excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere; I will gladly return to try other dishes!

22/03/2026: Regulars at this restaurant, my mother and I went there during the February school holidays. We ordered two salads. 1) My record for longest wait has been broken: 58 minutes between ordering and the arrival of our food. 2) Absolutely nothing was offered to make up for the wait (not even a small aperitif). 3) No offer of anything, no gesture of goodwill (not even complimentary coffee) to apologize. 4) The salad was rather small for the price. In short, a very bad evening!

25/02/2026: My wife and I ate here last night. We went in shortly after it opened at 19.00. We sat on the only remaining table for 2. Service was prompt and helpful yet gave us space when we needed it. We shared a starter of Foie Gras which was excellent . Then we both had the boeuf pave. We had them cooked differently and they were what we wanted. Lots of really fresh bread served too. We had a bottle of chenin for €27. Delicious food, well presented, great service. Looking forward to going back tomorrow night.

28/01/2026: For 10 years, I was a regular customer at the Auberge des Tureaux, but life's twists and turns meant I hadn't been back for 15 years. My first surprise: the chef recognized me, and so did the staff—many of whom hadn't changed. I won't deny that this was a very pleasant welcome! My second surprise: the food was still as delicious as ever, perhaps even better than I remembered, and the portions were still just as generous. In short, apart from the decor, nothing had changed, or rather, it had even improved! This makes the Auberge des Tureaux probably the best value for money in the Allier region today.

12/03/2026: The food was very good, but the atmosphere wasn't what it used to be. The waiters weren't as cheerful, and the lady at the till was very nice.

The setting is lovely, the atmosphere warm, and the food simply perfect: fresh ingredients, beautifully presented dishes, and balanced, generous flavors. Special mention goes to the young waiter who looked after us: smiling, energetic, attentive, and very professional. Always available without being intrusive, with a truly infectious good humor. It's refreshing to see such dedicated and genuine service.
