Al Catala sur Ceret

Tasty dishes, pleasant service and pretty terrace.

This restaurant is called Al Catala, but the menue does little to introduce a visitor to Catalan cuisine. When we visited, only two other tables were occupied, and despite the owners' good humour, there was little atmosphere. We each had two courses. We both had a magret of duck. Rathe than a whole breast, we were each served half a duck breast half a small potato rosti one baby tomato and a few undefined vegetables. I chose for dessert the crunchy pavlova, with pistachio cream and fruit collie and fresh fruit. The pavlova was not crunch it was tough. The pistachio cream did not taste pistachio, and the fruit was a few small raspberries and unhulled baby strawberries My wife had the cheese board of four different cheeses. Each piece of cheese was very, very small Together with a half bottle of wine and a small beer, this meal costed 103 Euros. Though the duck was well cooked, the meal was not value for money and was not an introduction to Catalan food

Very nice surprise! An excellent welcome and refined cuisine. Dare to go inside to discover the room at the back which is super nice! The prices are in line with the quality of the cuisine. The daily slate menu allows you to reduce the bill and be accessible to a greater number of people.

Very nice discovery, the garden planted with bamboo is very pleasant, the map original and the production excellent. Really a nice surprise, address to remember.

An idyllic setting, very very original cuisine and quality service. The crispy prawns were a real favorite for me! We had a great evening, thank you to the whole team!

Comme toujours, on a passé un excellent moment dans ce restaurant incontournable de la ville avec un jardin qui nous fais voyager entourée de bambou.On se régale avec une carte originale et variée! un menu très abordable qui change tous les jours avec des produits frais. On voit bien que la cuisine est faite avec amour! Le service est au top, les serveurs sont très accueillant et souriants En résumé je vous recommande ce restaurant les yeux fermés!
