Dining on a summer evening on the terrace of Le France, under the ancient plane trees in the center of Céret, is a true pleasure. The welcome is warm, the traditional cuisine is carefully prepared, and the prices are reasonable. I returned for the Cherry Festival, where there was a special festival menu, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's always a pleasure to come to Le France. A warm welcome, quick service, and always great and delicious menus. Today we had lunch on the terrace, shaded by large parasols. Thank you all, Le France! !!

Excellent food, a delicious cherry tiramisu. The waitress was very pleasant, smiling and friendly. Shaded terrace. Lively and friendly atmosphere.

Unfortunately, it was on the day of the cherry festival. So, a rip-off: €35 for the chef's salad menu, which was good, but the duck breast was overcooked, the fish was undercooked (they forgot to cook it), and the cherry clafoutis (flan) had only 5 cherries. So, poor value for money.

It was cherry fair day, so the staff was overwhelmed. The sangria was undrinkable, but they offered it to us. Otherwise, the meals were very good. It was too crowded that day. We'd like to try it on a quieter day.

22/05/2026: When something is good, I say so, and the same goes for when it's mediocre. But this is the kind of establishment I wholeheartedly recommend, for its ambiance, service, and of course, the kitchen staff. High praise indeed. Roger Rivet.
14/05/2026: A very good restaurant in the heart of the village offering a great selection of fish dishes, beautifully presented and delicious, with a very good wine list. For dessert, the crêpe Suzette is flambéed right in front of you – a real treat! A spacious and cozy patio awaits you. I highly recommend it!

15/05/2026: A wonderful discovery in Céret! A promising new spot, ideally located on the magnificent Place des 9 Jets, probably one of the most beautiful places in town for lunch or dinner under the plane trees. Chez Victorien offers truly market-fresh cuisine, generous and refined, with beautiful produce, fresh fish, and a menu that changes according to the day's catch. The chef is genuinely friendly and passionate, and it shows in the food. Clearly one of the best value-for-money options in town. Special mention also goes to the selection of organic and natural wines. It's a real pleasure to see restaurants showcasing the superb organic/natural vineyards of the region; the movement is underway, please keep it up! Warm service, a simple and authentic atmosphere—you can feel a genuine desire to do things well. A fantastic addition to Céret's culinary scene… long may it continue!
