An excellent experience from start to finish! The waiter was simply incredible: he knew the entire menu by heart, was always smiling, professional, and very pleasant. We had a great time chatting with him while enjoying impeccable service. The food was also excellent, with delicious dishes and top-notch chefs. Honestly, flawless from beginning to end! The only minor drawback was that there was no light in the restrooms when we were there. Aside from that, I recommend this restaurant 100% and I will definitely return!

Initially, I only intended to give this restaurant one star. But the young man behind the bar, dressed in Adidas, managed to smooth things over a bit at the end of the evening. Some friends came to visit, and I wanted to introduce them to one of the best restaurants in Pontivy. My choice naturally fell on AL Dente, which until then had been my favorite. The first disappointments came with the aperitif. The waiter explained that he couldn't present the dish because he didn't even know what he was bringing. After that, all the other dishes were served without the slightest explanation. It's a shame, because this presentation was precisely what made the restaurant so special. We then waited almost an hour for our starter, and the rest of the meal continued to be served with very long delays. At 10:30 p.m., we were still waiting for dessert. One of the four people at our table had to leave early and asked to take theirs to go. The dining room was almost empty. We could see the staff arguing amongst themselves, dropping and breaking equipment. At one point, there were only three of them left. I saw them washing up and putting away the plates, but no one was preparing our dessert. I then asked the young man behind the bar if we could finally get our dessert, as we wanted to leave. He immediately apologized and brought it to us in less than five minutes. He even offered us compensation of our choice, which we politely declined. When it came time to pay, he made a very generous gesture: he only charged us for the set menus and gave us all the drinks on the house. This helped to soften the blow of our disappointment somewhat. If you're reading this review: thank you for your professionalism and for trying to salvage the situation. Unfortunately, the damage was already done, and I don't think I'll be taking my friends there again. It's a real shame. It used to be a place I would recommend without hesitation.
