Refreshing Angelina location, went with friends. It's easy to find a table and eat patisserie. More relaxed than inside the chateau.

Was at Versailles on a busy day during the holiday season, so had to queue for about 30 minutes to get into this place, but it was worth the wait. When walking in, it had the ambience of a Tea room in a French palace with traditional antique decor. The menu had a good range of meals to choose from. The best part was the desserts which were very difficult to decide on. They were divine. The waiters were most professional and friendly.

We have visited the Angelina in central Paris on many occasions so when we saw this one we knew we had to try it however we were disappointed with our experience. The choice of food was very limited, there was no sandwiches (which were advertised) despite it being lunchtime for example. There were two waiters but the wait was incredibly long and there seemed a bit disorganised which led to our tea waiting on the side for over 5 minutes before we were able to pay (ended up with iced tea). It is a shame for an establishment with such a good reputation.

A lovely cafe in the gardens surrounding the palace. Nice for a short break after a long walk. I loved the halal food options available, in addition to the desserts: the egg sandwich and the goat cheese and spinach quiche.

I am hesitating to share this gem because selfishly I want it to stay a secret. The good thing is that you will need to walk kilometres in the gardens if you are coming from the palace. Therefore it will never be overcrowded like the one situated within the palace itself. Just imagine eating some of the best cakes and hot chocolate in the world, in the midst of the royal gardens of Versailles! Price does not matter, because nothing beats it!

Naturally, we pay for the location near the Petit Trianon. But hey, the place is pleasant and the macaroons are more than decent, so we end up there.
