My best friend and I ate at Chuanjiang Haozi (Boiled Beef) and were shocked by the portions: the food was incredibly large, and the two of us couldn't finish it at all, so we had to take the leftovers home! Food Review: The toothpick beef is highly recommended! The seasoning is fantastic, spicy and flavorful, and very delicious! The boiled beef broth and side dishes are also great, but the beef was a little overcooked and tough, making it a bit hard to chew.

Large portions. Attentive and responsive service. Fair price for the dishes offered.

Things got much better after the new store opened.

A lovely place! The food is a refreshing change from typical "Asian" restaurants. We tried two Maocai (beef and tripe) with two different broths (soy and chili). Both were delicious and generous! Just so you know, here, when you ask for a spicy version, they don't make fun of you ;) We'll be back to try another specialty!
