07/10/2024: This is perhaps my favorite restaurant during my stay in Charente Maritime. We stopped there, my partner and I by chance. There were lots of people on the terrace. A smiling lady showed us where to sit. I had a plate of charcuterie. To the taste, everything seemed homemade. A duck terrine, slices of chorizo, country ham, a piece of bacon and foie gras. This plate was hearty and smelled good of the land. Then, a skewer of beef steak. A real delight with tender and tasty meat. My companion had a hearty Périgourdine salad in which she discovered a piece of foie gras. She then had some blood sausage with mash and caramelized apples. The dish was appetizing. After a short walk in Saintes we came back for a coffee and chatted with the entire team. I loved this moment. These people were very friendly and we discussed the work and what was being done and offered in our region of Saône et Loire. I particularly recommend this establishment.
