The daily menu is particularly appealing: for starters, you can choose two tapas from the day's offerings, with a wide selection of meats, fish, and vegetables. It's an original concept that allows you to discover different flavors with each visit. The main course is always well-executed, and the desserts, simple yet perfectly made, provide a delicious end to the meal. And if the daily menu doesn't suit your tastes, the à la carte menu is varied enough to satisfy everyone. The prices are more than reasonable considering the quality of the food served, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. 12/02/2026: The night was rainy, the Charente River was overflowing, a doorbell rang, and the door opened onto a beautifully decorated hall. The welcome and service were friendly, the menu offered excellent choices, and the tasting was perfect and delicious. A truly gem.

Several set menus are available for €24.50, and you can also choose from other menus to try different options. In short, it was a great find. I recommend it.

02/07/2026: We had lunch here yesterday and it was absolutely lovely. I had the Caesar salad and my husband had a crepe and they were both amazing. Their staff were nice and friendly and we felt it had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We would recommend this restaurant.

08/07/2026: Discovered this little restaurant on a street corner. Friendly service, pleasant interior. Dishes beautifully presented, colorful, and the meats were excellent. One small drawback! Our eyes stung a little when a meat dish garnished with a flambéed herb was served. The restaurant is small, so this slight discomfort was a little disconcerting. The air conditioning was on, but the door was closed! We were eager to get some fresh air! Otherwise, I highly recommend it 👍

12/06/2026: Absolutely braw wee family-run place, really for the French-speakin’ crowd, but even if your français is a bit ropey it’s still dead doable. Surrounded by locals and nae Brits, wi a simple hand-scrieved French menu board, Le P’tit served up one of the tastiest, most laid-back plats du jour I’ve ever had. Tipped off by my host oot in the sticks, it was well worth traipsin’ intae Saintes for this cheap wee belter. During the recent May heatwave, I settled in outside at one of a few casually-dotted tables under the shade of a perfectly-placed tree, and had an experience I’d happily repeat on the regular. Pure magnifique.
