Arkose sur Montreuil

Excellent routes, as always with Arkose. The gym is well-ventilated and bright, which is pleasant. However, there are two major drawbacks. First, the mandatory use of liquid chalk for obscure reasons, even though it's really terrible for holding holds, especially the chalk sold by Arkose, which is particularly poor quality (pasty, doesn't stick to the skin, and comes off in two or three movements) --> go take some chemistry lessons at Friction Labs. Second, and a significant drawback, is the anarchist graffiti everywhere in the gym (toilets, changing rooms, etc.). Either you get it removed, or you condone it. We live in a democracy, don't forget that. If they were swastikas, they would have been gone a long time ago, I think. It's a shame that climbing is becoming politicized...

Friendly team, lots of different routes, the gym isn't very big, but the routes change often, so it's perfect for climbing and working on hard routes.

The gym is really great. There's a fantastic variety of boulder problems and everyone is friendly. I highly recommend it.

I've been going to this gym for a few years now, and it's always a pleasure to come back. The team is fantastic: welcoming, helpful, and above all, very safety-conscious. The overall atmosphere is friendly; you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door, whether you're there for a serious session or just to relax. One thing I particularly appreciate, and which I think makes all the difference in Paris, is the attention paid to children on the mats. It's the only gym I know where the staff really makes sure children don't stay in the landing areas, which guarantees a more relaxed experience for everyone. The climbing routes are regularly updated, there's something for all levels, and you can feel the team's genuine passion for their work.

It's always a pleasure to come here after 10 years of climbing at this gym. I highly recommend it for climbers of all levels. The routes are pretty good, and there's something for every style of climbing, with slabs, overhangs, traverses, and the spray wall (not to mention the Güllich board). I also want to highlight the staff's dynamic approach (shout-out to whoever organized the hanging competition), which is particularly welcoming in Montreuil, creating a truly family atmosphere compared to other gyms.

This venue has its charm, and the staff are super welcoming and fun. I'll be back!

(+) The walls/openings are varied and challenging. (-) RIP to the sauna, it's been out of commission for 3 years. One day in the Marvel multiverse, it'll reappear as functional.
