July 30, 2026 Every time we come from Germany to Cournon-d'Auvergne, we make a detour to the "Arthur" pastry shop. Anyone who shops there regularly can consider themselves very lucky to have such a master pastry chef's establishment nearby. Because every cake, every pastry, every tart is a little work of art that delights the eye. That's why we'll be ordering our little girl's birthday cake from Arthur tomorrow. She'll first marvel at it, and then enjoy it with us. As a German, I'm very happy to find truly delicious rye bread here. Rye bread is tasty and healthy. It's a staple food in my country. Yesterday, as soon as we arrived in France, we rushed to buy some at Arthur's. The selection of other delicious breads and baguettes is also vast, allowing us to vary our meals. Believe me: You hardly ever find bakeries and pastry shops in Germany as refined as Arthur's anymore. When I was a child, they still existed, but today everything is mass-produced, without any care. You can no longer feast your eyes on the pastries, and you can no longer enjoy the characteristic aroma of a bakery in Germany. Because we greatly appreciate the meticulous work of all the employees at Arthur's bakery and pastry shop, we are delighted to award it 5 stars and highly recommend this shop. The white cream beneath the raspberries was very light, not too sweet, and had a pleasant vanilla flavor. The staff were unfriendly, and they showed no care in putting the mini pastries in the bag; it looked like the saleswoman was just filling a bag with potatoes! The only positive point was the quality, which was decent!

Thank you for this natural pastry. No chemicals, very little sugar. You can tell there are no questionable additives or colorings. An explosion of flavors in the mouth. The price is totally justified when you're looking for quality, not frills.
