While looking for food near Notre Dame, I stumbled upon this Sichuan restaurant, which turned out to be a delightful surprise. As a Sichuan native, finding an authentic Sichuan restaurant in Europe is as rare as winning the lottery, but this place truly delighted me. The lychee-flavored shredded pork with garlic sauce and the seasoning and tenderness of the Mapo tofu were both incredibly authentic. Highly recommended!

20/07/2026: I have been ordering dumplings to go here for a while, it is always very good. The quality is consistent, and taste authentic - definitely the best ones in the area. The place is super small, don't expect to eat there but rather to take away. Always good to order by phone first as the wait can be quite important (30-45min in general)
10/07/2026: While traveling in Europe, I discovered a dumpling restaurant near my hotel. It was busy that day, and I had to wait 30 minutes. It's a popular place. The dumpling sauce was delicious. (Dumplings aren't usually very tasty with soy sauce, but this restaurant's sauce, which contained chili peppers, garlic, and vinegar, was excellent.) The young female staff member (the owner's daughter) was wonderful, fluent in French, Chinese, and English.

Maison De Chengdu

20/07/2026: 202607 Friday, 11:05 AM. No one was in line, we were first! We ordered one soup and one dry dish, both were delicious! The small bowls were more than enough. The restaurant was air-conditioned! The rice noodle soup was very refreshing; we drank a lot and didn't feel thirsty in the afternoon. The meat was just average, not particularly tender. The beef balls were delicious. The bo bun had a great sour seasoning and lots of meat and fried spring rolls. Many people come for takeout; the business is very good. However, the table turnover rate is quite high, and they often share tables, so if there's a queue, the wait shouldn't be too long. Satisfied!
15/07/2026: The rice noodles are delicious. They suit the Korean palate well. I am leaving this review to help others, as I benefited from the reviews I read.
