Assa is one of Blois’ standout dining destinations, earning a Michelin star for its refined, contemporary cuisine inspired by both France and Japan. Chef Anthony Maubert and his Japanese-born wife Fumiko have created a restaurant that is elegant yet understated, where meticulous technique is matched by warm, gracious hospitality. The tasting menu celebrates the seasons through beautifully balanced dishes that highlight exceptional local ingredients with subtle Japanese influences, while the wine pairings are equally thoughtful. They are temporarily located in a slightly run-down Novotel in central Blois, while their actual location is being renovated.

What can I say? We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The service was impeccable and attentive, and the cuisine took us on a journey between the Loire Valley and Japan. The dishes were beautifully presented and the food and flavors lived up to expectations. We will be back.
