Mixed feelings. We were among the first to book for the special Valentine's Day evening and were seated right by the entrance, which meant we felt a freezing draft every time we went in and out... and unfortunately, they couldn't move us. The amuse-bouches, starters, and main courses were quite good, but the dessert was disappointing—really ordinary, bland, and small. It tasted like it was frozen... and if it wasn't, unfortunately, it certainly didn't taste good. The service was also a bit disorganized, although the staff were friendly. For a bill of over €100, I unfortunately won't be repeating the experience. It's a real shame because we had already been a few years ago, and in our opinion, the quality was better then.

For Valentine's Day, we went for lunch. It was excellent, from the appetizer platter to the dessert. Everything was delicious. All the staff were very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend it and we will gladly return.

A lovely discovery not far from home. A very charming and friendly place. Quick and attentive service. Excellent food and beautifully presented dishes, just to our liking. We tried the dessert and coffee, and once again, we weren't disappointed. I recommend this place and I'll gladly return, perhaps this summer for the terrace atmosphere 😉

I highly recommend this place, nestled in lush greenery...the Mormal Forest...a truly excellent spot. A retro setting where you feel right at home...open fireplace. Beers 🍻, local dishes 😋👌, top-notch service. Two lovely terraces 👌🍻

We thoroughly enjoyed the local cuisine. We especially loved the cheese sauce made with the typical Maroilles cheese. The ingredients were of exceptional quality, and the service was incredibly warm and spontaneous, all in an authentic and welcoming setting. The desserts were absolutely delicious... Fantastic!

A must-visit for all lovers of fine food, where you feel like a truly valued guest.

Nestled in the heart of the Mormal Forest lies this beautiful inn, boasting a lovely, tranquil atmosphere, well-spaced tables, a crackling fire, and a cozy fireplace. The homemade cuisine is delicious and served in generous portions. The specialties are clearly marked, and the menu changes weekly, ensuring there's always something new to discover. And the most exceptional aspect was the welcome. The owner greets you with a handshake, shows you to your table, and takes the time (along with his staff) to explain the menu and suggest side dishes. He doesn't interrupt your meal, allowing you to fully savor the delicious food. He checks in to see if everything is alright and if you need anything. Just as upon arrival, he takes the time to greet each guest individually upon departure. In short, if you're ever in the area, don't hesitate for a second! It's a superb human and culinary experience that you absolutely must try. Another visit in February 2026, and once again a wonderful experience. The staff were pleasant, welcoming, and always available if needed. Despite some staff shortages, the service was the same (we didn't notice any difference!). The dishes were as delicious as ever (melt-in-your-mouth salmon, smooth mashed potatoes, excellent cabbage, and the desserts were divine). In short, don't hesitate to go; it's a superb restaurant not to be missed!
