Our first visit. Pleasant setting, beautiful decor. The dish was very well prepared and presented, the flavors were perfectly balanced—it was excellent.

There were three of us, and we ordered the set menu with its various appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Everything was perfect. It was a true delight for our taste buds. The staff was very pleasant, smiling, and professional. They were very attentive. The view into the kitchen attests to the quality of the food, prepared fresh to order. The chef is very calm, which makes the service efficient. (Can you guess?) The precision of a Michelin-starred restaurant. A wonderful experience at a very competitive price for the quality of the service. Don't change a thing! 👍

September 9, 2025 The tour bus arrived in Bayonne, the city of chocolate, as dusk was falling. As we knew from booking the tour, we were supposed to find our own dinner that evening. We hastily searched on Google Maps and found a suitable restaurant diagonally across from our hotel. After a day's journey from Carcassonne to Toulouse, Lourdes, and finally to Bayonne, my elderly husband and I were quite exhausted, but our love of food got the better of us. We quickly made a reservation online and, after a short rest, visited Au Bouchon Basque Le Resto. The moment we stepped inside, we were overwhelmed by the lively atmosphere filled with young people (though all the customers were younger than us!). A staff member immediately came over and showed us to our reserved table. We were able to choose from the menu smoothly, and the glasses of wine, plates of food, and dessert were brought out one after another. The hungry elderly couple devoured everything in no time, without even glancing at the food. It was like finding an oasis in the desert; we thoroughly enjoyed the meal! ♪♪🤗♪♪ As we started to relax and looked around, we noticed a bulldog sitting in the seat right behind us. When we turned our eyes, he (?) was staring back at us. This was a scene we had never seen in any of the many restaurants we had encountered before, and it was at this moment that we truly felt a sense of peace and familiarity at Au Bouchon Basque Le Resto. It was almost time to return to the hotel, so we said goodbye to the dog, paid the bill at the register, and left the restaurant. Thank you so much for the enjoyable and delicious time we spent in such a peaceful atmosphere. Once again, thank you for the wonderful meal! 🙏

Excellent cuisine, cheerful and efficient service. Good value for money. The wine list features carefully updated vintages. For wine by the glass, they bring the bottle to your table to serve.

Lunch with friends, very warm welcome, superb setting, and refined cuisine – we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I recommend this restaurant for a pleasant time.
