Au Chineur sur L'Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue

Nice spot along the Sorgue river. We knew of it by name because we live nearby. For our first time, it was very good. The servers were very friendly, the food was very good, and the ice cream was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

Recommended. Good value for money. Nice location. Good brasserie cuisine. Tip for the owners: as Belgians, we consider it normal to drink your beer from the accompanying or correct glass… Drinking Duvel from a Jupiler glass is considered sacrilege in Belgium…

We had reserved a large table for 19 people to celebrate a birthday, and I want to thank the team because all our requests were respected. We had asked for a table on the terrace, overlooking the Sorgue River, and we were delighted with the location. The food was very good, everyone enjoyed it, and the service was excellent despite the number of guests. The team was efficient, friendly, and attentive, which deserves to be highlighted. However, we were extremely disappointed by the end of the evening. Around 10 p.m., we were asked to leave the table when we learned that another reservation was arriving right after ours. We had just ordered more drinks, which we had to finish quickly while the clearing had already begun and the next customers were waiting right outside our table. A rather awkward situation… It's a shame, because we were never informed in advance that the table had to be vacated at a specific time. If we had known this when we booked, we would have made different arrangements. Unfortunately, this situation cast a negative light on an evening that had otherwise started very well.

Beautiful setting along the Sorgue river, efficient service, very attractive €20 set menu (starter/main or main/dessert). Well-seasoned, generous portions, homemade ratatouille, perfectly cooked meats, and a particular favorite was the cucumber syrup.

Great service and wholesome food but tables are too close and too small.
