I just left Clos des Vignes in La Baule (Loiret) for my first visit. What a pleasant surprise! The restaurant, located on the main road in La Baule, is a single-story building with parking along the street (making it easily accessible for people with reduced mobility). There's a disabled parking space 20 meters away, just in case (which was the case when I arrived). So, a great location. Once inside, despite the numerous trucks, no road noise will disturb your meal. The owner is friendly and responsive, which is fantastic. A small menu features dishes prepared by the chef (a guarantee of quality and homemade fare). In fact, it's excellent! Flavorful dishes, expertly spiced with high-quality ingredients. Today, a "truffle" promotion allowed me to enjoy a truly exceptional truffle at an unbeatable price. Create your menu with your eyes closed or wide open, it's very good. Next door, a lovely aperitif menu with Japanese whiskies (worth noting, an excellent choice for enthusiasts). Wines are available by the bottle or half-bottle (no wine by the glass, but you can take the rest of the bottle home). A great wine list. After a delicious dessert or some well-aged cheeses, you'll leave feeling satisfied, just like I did, with your taste buds delighted. I'm eagerly awaiting warmer weather to return and enjoy the terrace. I should add that I treated myself, hence the price, but the value for money of all the dishes is excellent. The limited number of tables in the dining room contributes to creating a particularly convivial ambiance.
