Au coeur du Liban sur Metz

Everything is excellent! We ate very well. The quality and quantity were there. A sure value.

This Lebanese restaurant immediately seduces you with the warm welcome of its staff. The service is simply impeccable: fast and efficient. When it comes to cooking, this is where things get slightly complicated. The dishes, although prepared with care and undeniably fresh, lack that little something that makes the magic of Lebanese cuisine. The tabbouleh is pleasant but the lemon is lacking, the shawarma is generous, but the spices, at the heart of this cuisine so rich in flavors, remain shy. The seasonings seem too wise, too moderate, as if we were afraid to dare. This lack of relief, of boldness in the flavors, leaves an impression of perfectly executed but lackluster dishes, and we leave the table with the feeling of having touched on the potential of this cuisine without ever really getting close to it. That being said, the experience remains generally positive and the quality of the Lebanese wines offered must be highlighted. The quality of the products is there and the pleasant setting, perfect for a couple's evening with friends.

There were 10 of us! After a compromised meal because assortments of dishes were imposed on us (not to our taste and the most expensive on the menu!), supposedly for greater speed and to be served at the same time! It took 15 minutes to fight...to win the case! So don't give in. In the end, very good service, everyone took the dish they wanted and served at the same time. Another tip: eat at the second service because we had reserved for the first service and we had to vacate the tables quickly. Too bad because the setting is pleasant.

At the foot of the cathedral, a friendly place where Lebanese cuisine is popular... It’s really hearty! Plan a digestive walk after the mezés... Lebanese red wine is good and light. We will return with pleasure.

Restaurant always full. One last Restaurant with a capital R to stand up to the too many fast food restaurants opening in Metz. Vegetarians are not left out in the adventure because there is a menu for them. Having traveled to the Middle East, the dishes are remade as in the region.

Very well eaten, too plentiful, pleasant service, I had a chicken skewer dish with pilat rice

Discovered this restaurant on Google maps and decided to give it a try. It’s located down from the cathedral on a quiet street. Greeted by a very friendly waiter who also spoke good English. We went for the falafel and cheese puff pastry starters which were delicious. For mains we opted for the chicken skewers and lamb skewers served with rice as well as hummus. Once again very nice and served with Lebanese bread, we were stuffed after that. Well recommended.
