First visit in January 2024 * Restaurant reopened after a year of renovations. It is now part of a large group that owns around twenty restaurants in Strasbourg. The exterior and interior renovations have given the restaurant a fresh new look. Open since January 2nd, we went on the 3rd. Reservation made online. The exterior is well-lit, the interior even more so. You'll be dazzled. Everything has been renovated, from floor to ceiling. There are three rooms: the main restaurant, the first floor, and the veranda. The welcome is warm, and we were able to choose our table. The servers are all friendly, professional, responsive, and impeccably dressed. The menu is typically Alsatian. It's extensive, with something for everyone. There are many choices of tarte flambée. The prices are on the higher end for Strasbourg. For our first visit, we opted for tarte flambée, a starter, and dessert. The tart (€10.90) is excellent, with high-quality pastry and filling. The bacon is homemade. The Strasbourg salad (€6.50) is fresh and generously topped. The foie gras (€15.90) is high quality, and you can tell it's also homemade. The desserts are equally impressive. For our first visit, we had a wonderful meal, a real treat. No complaints whatsoever; it's a welcome change from the previous owner. We'll be back to try the different dishes on offer and see if the quality has declined over time. The only downside was the lack of waitresses, only waiters. This is unusual and worth noting. * Returning in March and May 2024 for lunch. The Express menu is good, and there's finally a very friendly and smiling waitress. * Returning in January 2025 for Le Coucou's first anniversary. This time it was a disappointment (so I'm downgrading from 5 to 4 stars). The waiter we had was completely out of it. Maybe it was his first night, but clearly he's not cut out for this job. Too distant and obviously not very motivated. The tarte flambée wasn't the best. The cream was tasteless, the bacon was sparse, only the crust was good and crispy. The Fleichkiechle were lukewarm. The Spätzle were good, the fries undercooked. The two desserts were excellent. There's been a lapse in quality; they need to get back on track. * Return in August 2025. This time the disappointment was even greater. The tarte flambée was better than last time. Bibelaskäs was served, but the potatoes arrived 10 minutes later. The Strasbourgeoise salad wasn't good, too much lettuce, and the grated Gruyère was too fine. We wanted to order dessert, but 30 minutes after we finished eating, the plates were still in front of us. The decline continues * Return in July 2026 Service provided by two waitresses; they are efficient and complement each other. The tart is still bland and lacks flavor. The dessert (Dame Blanche) was not great, very runny. There is still room for improvement.

A regular spot close to my workplace, I've never been disappointed. The food is good, Elodie and Caroline are always charming and welcoming, and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend it.

We live 5 minutes from the restaurant. What a pleasure and what luck! A clean, renovated restaurant with a very warm welcome. However, the quality of the food is declining, unfortunately. Between last summer and this spring: we've gone from wonderful, incredibly delicious dishes to frozen ones (carpaccio still frozen here and there), cold ham hock in the middle, and the daily special was good but nothing special. I don't know what's changed, but please do something! 🐥🫶🏻

La Petite Alsace

20/05/2026: Some hotels are simply a place to sleep. Régent Petite France feels like you’re actually staying inside the postcard of Strasbourg. The location is unbelievable. You walk out the door and you are immediately in the middle of everything that makes Petite France so special — canals, bridges, flowers hanging from windows, people sitting outside with wine, little streets that somehow look even better at night than they do during the day. Honestly, half the time we just stood outside the hotel looking around thinking, “this can’t be real.” Our room was incredible with a view that made it hard to leave in the morning. Watching the boats pass through the canals while the city slowly woke up was one of those travel moments you remember long after the trip is over. The staff could not have been more helpful. Every interaction felt genuine and relaxed, never forced or overly formal. They helped with recommendations, directions, questions — anything we needed. You could tell they truly cared that guests enjoyed Strasbourg. The entire hotel somehow feels luxurious without being stuffy. Comfortable, elegant, quiet, and perfectly placed in the center of it all. Only very minor thing — the shower setup could be a little more accessible depending on mobility or preference — but honestly, it barely registered compared to how much we loved staying here. If you’re visiting Strasbourg and want to fully experience Petite France instead of just walking through it for an hour, stay here. We already miss waking up there.
17/05/2026: A magnificent hotel where I stay every time I'm in Strasbourg. Very well located. The concierge and valet parking staff are exceptional. The reception is very average and incapable of maintaining a customer database. In short, a major drawback. The hotel lobby is freezing cold (20 degrees Celsius) and the bathrooms, even with the thermostat turned all the way up, are like refrigerators. Plus, there are no slippers to warm you up, only flip-flops that hurt your feet. So don't come in winter, or bring your own slippers and a kettle. The spa is very professional, and the massages are excellent. The restaurant is always closed, every single time I've been there.
