Au Cruchon sur Strasbourg

It's incredible, go for it! Finishing your plate is quite a feat given the generous portions, but it's so delicious! The decor and service really set the mood for a traditional wine bar. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Strasbourg :)

An intimate restaurant with impeccable service, delicate, generous, and comforting cuisine, as Alsatian cooking often is. The decor perfectly captures the quintessential image of a winstub. After touring Alsace, this is one of, if not the, best places we ate.

Best meal of our holiday. The chef is fabulous. Had the burger from the specials. It came without bun and instead between two potato rostis (…Reibekuchen) with hoisin. It was amazing. My wife’s duck with honey and orange sauce was to die for. And the dessert pistachio glacé was superb. Thank you!!!

We ordered sauerkraut and a cordon bleu with a light smoky flavor, served with Munster cheese sauce – excellent! My sauerkraut was very tasty and flavorful, the portion generous, and came with spicy mustard. In short, I wanted more.

We had a lovely dinner. The food was great. Service was good, the staff explained the menu in English which helped. Would recommend making a reservation in advance as it’s a cosy restaurant.

A wonderful family moment in this small, intimate restaurant in the heart of Strasbourg. We received a warm and welcoming reception, just like at home. A suggestion was made for our 3 and 5-year-old children, as there wasn't a children's menu, but that wasn't a problem; we adapted. The food was delicious, a real sauerkraut, perhaps not as hearty as in the tourist traps nearby, but I was more than satisfied and it was a pure delight. The cordon bleu with Munster cheese, the Spätzle for the children with local Knackwurst—it was perfect and typically Alsatian! We sincerely thank you for this wonderful time, your kindness, and your genuine hospitality. Thank you also for your kindness towards our children; they adored you! We will definitely return on our next trip to Alsace!

What a pleasure to dine in the heart of Strasbourg! The atmosphere is authentic, and we had a delightful time. The food is generous and flavorful. The duck was cooked perfectly, accompanied by excellent sauerkraut and melt-in-your-mouth spaetzle. I particularly loved the detail of the water glasses with their traditional Alsatian illustrations—a charming little touch. A must-visit for discovering local specialties. We will definitely be back.

Our evening at "Au Cruchon" for a bachelorette party was a complete success. The traditional Alsatian cuisine was excellent! The service was incredibly welcoming and warm, and the atmosphere was friendly. I highly recommend it! Remember to book ahead as the restaurant is very small.
