I highly recommend this restaurant. Quality dishes, hospitality and incredible atmosphere. Rodolphe, Yohann and the waitress whose first name I do not have were extremely kind and in a rare good humor. Do not miss

Be careful at lunchtime, no cheese specialties. I opted for a tartiflette covered with very good puff pastry, perhaps not too filling for a gourmand. Otherwise the service was perfect.

The best experience in the ski village. Atmosphere is driven my the friends who run the restaurant and love their job. Excellent food! I wish we discovered it earlier :)

Amazing food, incredibly fast and kind service and cozy, homey atmosphere. This is by far the best restaurant in Alp d'Huez and an outstanding experience by all accords.

Chalet du Lac Besson

03/04/2024: Super high altitude restaurant, a little sheltered from the crowds because it is more difficult to access. Terrace with beautiful view of the mountains. Good quality traditional cuisine. Friendly service. Worth the detour
30/03/2024: The setting is ideal, but the lady at the bar is more than unpleasant... It really spoils the pleasure of tasting... I come every year, I stop at all the restaurants on the slopes, it's the place where we were most poorly received!! Ps: the young man serving on the terrace was, unlike his boss, or manager, extremely kind.... In short, if you want to go to a place where the locals are friendly...this is not the right place!!

Smithys Tavern

31/03/2024: Overall, it's a great spot with friendly servers, a fantastic DJ, and they also broadcast football matches. I'd recommend it, but i would advisable to make a reservation if you plan to dine there.
22/03/2024: Extremely odd policies. Walk-ins, you can sit at a free table but they refuse to take your order until the table they book in for you becomes available. So we get our table after half an hour. Next, they only want to bring the entire order out together, no matter how hungry you are. Anyways 45m and much convincing later gets us our starters. Friendly and polite staff through all this I'll add.
