Having explored numerous restaurants in Bordeaux, the Basque Country, Paris, Belgium, and several other countries, I can say without hesitation that Pourquoi Paul is one of my best discoveries of the last two years. Here, everything is just right. Creative, generous cuisine, full of character, prepared with exceptionally high-quality ingredients. Each dish is a true delight, from the first amuse-bouche to the dessert. The wine selection is remarkable and perfectly complements each course. After visiting around a hundred restaurants in the last two years, this one ranks among the very best. The value for money is simply exceptional. But the experience doesn't end at the restaurant. It's well worth the two-hour drive to discover Port-Sainte-Foy and its surrounding area. Make it a day trip or a weekend getaway: enjoy the heritage, the landscapes, the vineyards, and then let yourself be captivated by this restaurant, which is truly worth the detour. A huge congratulations to the three people who bring this place to life with such passion, dedication, and sincerity. Their love for their craft shines through in every detail. Just one piece of advice: book your table, hit the road, and experience it for yourself. You won't regret it.

The atmosphere was great, and the food was very good. My only complaint is that €12 just to open a €22 bottle of white wine seems a bit excessive.

A wonderful discovery. A passionate sommelier who introduced us to some excellent wines, delicious cuisine with a perfectly prepared turbot to share, impeccable service, and an idyllic setting! A perfect romantic meal. We highly recommend it and will be delighted to return soon.

The dishes were magnificent, the flavors were spot on. The setting is fantastic with a beautiful view; the only downside was the room being too hot despite the air conditioning being on—a shame. Otherwise, the servers were efficient and welcoming. The dining room is lovely, and the prices aren't too high considering the visual and culinary quality.
