We recommend; Restaurant with a chic appearance but simple and good; welcome and service at the rendezvous We had lunch and dinner two days in a row in this establishment and we were more than delighted Delicious scallop tartare; duck breast a treat and homemade dessert. Our children appreciated the little touches from the waiters. Go there with your eyes closed. Of course there is a wait but like in many establishments. The lack of staff as well as the hours of the castle are detrimental but no one can do anything about it. Encourage your team, they deserve it. Jean and Marisse!

We went to this restaurant before visiting the Château de Chenonceau. The meal was good and the setting pleasant. On the other hand, people in a hurry, move on. We spent 2 hours there. The wait between courses was extremely long and it was starting to get difficult to hold the children. Of course we don't know if this is usual or due to a lack of staff or any problem. In short, mixed opinion

Repas à peu près correct. Le lieu est sympa (terrasse et petite salle bien décorée, véranda bcp moins) mais le service brouillon et long (seulement 2 personnes pour servir beaucoup de tables), et le prix trop élevé par rapport aux quantités (mais explicable par l'emplacement très touristique ?).

We reiterated our experience; always so nice August 2024; the weather was very hot. But always a nice touch with air-conditioned rooms. The inside is as good as the outside Meals on the enclosed terrace which is hidden but which is splendid. Come in; walk along this beautiful alley, wait your turn and you will dine on refined, fresh, homemade products. Menu and delicious Burger and meat; deliciously seasoned homemade foie gras ; we tried everything. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. To be redone; unfortunately we are next to Auxerre. Small downside: the incivility of many customers around us. What patience do you have! All the best.

Restaurant bien tenu mais la cuisine est moyenne. Disons que ce n'est pas gastronomique, plutôt simple. Par exemple, la salade est posée dans une assiette sans décor.

La Renaudiere

03/10/2024: We booked the hotel based on the official pictures, which do not show the renovation backlog of the last few decades. The hotel needs some investment. But it has a lot of charm and is ok as a stopover (for us towards Spain) and in conjunction with a visit to the Château de Chenonceau, which is just a five-minute walk away. The bathroom is very narrow and the shower (in the bathtub) has no shower curtain, which is why half the bathroom is flooded when showering. The beds were very comfortable. The older lady at the reception was very nice and friendly. Value for money could be better. We skipped breakfast and instead had a lovely breakfast in a bakery in nearby Bléré.
