Excellent restaurant. Impeccable welcome and service, very attentive. The dining room is really pleasant, you feel right at home. We had a vegan burger, a lamb burger, and a strawberry-lemon tartlet, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It's just a shame there wasn't a vegan dessert option. See you soon!

We didn't expect to end up at this restaurant, but everything around here is closed on Monday evenings. Well, we weren't disappointed. My daughter and I had a lamb burger, and it was absolutely delicious. No fries, but new potatoes, which was a nice change. We also had a chocolate fondant, which was very good. The servers were very pleasant. A great place to know about.

In the world full of poor food for kids, this place stands out with the best gastrobar type baby burger. So so so good and gastronomic quality. My magret with pepper sauce was out of this world too. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant! Apricot and peach crumble was also incredible.

A lovely restaurant with carefully prepared, locally sourced cuisine. The menu isn't extensive (but it's sufficient), which ensures fresh ingredients! Worth a visit in the area. The chef clearly learned from the best!

Excellent experience at Bistrot Gaby in Saint-Auban, in the heart of Provence. Warm atmosphere and very pleasant service. For starters, the foie gras was delicate and melted in your mouth. The smoked salmon main course was perfectly balanced, with a refined taste. And to finish, the lavender crème brûlée was simply delicious, original, and expertly prepared. Special mention to Mr. David for his exceptional service, always smiling and very professional. A place to recommend without hesitation!

I went to this restaurant and had a very good experience. The service was attentive and pleasant from beginning to end, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The foie gras was very well prepared, with high-quality ingredients. You could also tell that the fish of the day was fresh and expertly cooked. Finally, the desserts were excellent: the lavender crème brûlée had a delicate and original flavor, and the chocolate fondant was simply delicious. A place I highly recommend.

We didn't really enjoy the meal we were served. Apart from the quiet atmosphere in the dining room because there weren't many of us, nothing was right. The hamburger was mediocre: soggy bun, acidic sauce, tasteless cheese, reheated baby potatoes, and the crumble was more like a cream with overcooked apples. Sorry, but we were very disappointed with this romantic meal...

La Bonne Etape

10/05/2026: The hotel itself is charming and full of character, but unfortunately the dining experience fell far below expectations. We chose the tasting menu and ended up leaving multiple dishes unfinished — something that should raise questions in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Just to mention two examples, the asparagus sorbet was honestly terrible, and the trout course (which replaced the scallops listed on the menu, without anyone bothering to explain the change) was particularly underwhelming. Service was polite, though not especially attentive for this category: no bread plates, butter initially forgotten despite asking, and water bottles not refilled unless explicitly requested each time. On a positive note, the lavender and honey dessert was excellent, the bread very good, and the wine selection well curated. Overall, the gap between the reputation, the actual experience, and the price paid felt too large. A restaurant with such history and legacy deserves more consistency, and Michelin recognition should continue to be earned at the plate.
