Perfect experience from start to finish. The staff were amazing and the food was incredibly delicious. We tried the white bean stew (Cassoulet Maison), and it was excellent. Would absolutely come back.

Au Père Louis was recommended to us by our concierge (Erwin) at the Hotel Dame des Arts. We simply loved this place for its cool and local vibe (far more locals drinking and eating here than tourists), the smart cocktail options and a well thought out wine list (bottle of Pouilly Fuisse) along with many traditional French classics made for a wonderful evening (we loved the Cassoulet!). As the evening progressed and it got busier, service slowed a bit only because there was just 2 servers hustling as fast as they could to service everyone while maintaining pleasant and friendly attitudes. We will certainly return and highly recommend this spot for a cool vibe spot in Paris that’s more locals than tourists.

Dining at Au Père Louis was a delight: the food was excellent — beautifully cooked, rich flavors and attentive detail. It sits on the pricier side compared to casual bistros, but you’re paying for the quality. There was no English menu, which might challenge non-French speakers, yet the waiter was extremely polite, patient, and helpful in guiding selections. The setting felt intimate and authentically Parisian . Top tip: The french onion soup here is AMAZING !

28/10/2025: Great atmosphere with very friendly servers. The menu is great, but the prices in this area are always a little high. Very good food, perfect for a drink that turns into a small dinner.
25/10/2025: Arriving at the end of lunch service, we were very well received. The daily specials were excellent. The price was very reasonable. The server was super friendly! And gave us some good advice for the rest of our stay! 👍
