Fantastic find! Excellent value for money. Fast service and a very pleasant waitress, I highly recommend it!

We went this Monday, right in the middle of the Christmas season, on our way back from the market. It was very good; the waitress was working alone and she handled everything very well. The fillet with foie gras was served very generously and at an unbeatable price. It was simple and very good. An address to remember for next time. Nancy

We've been in the area and have eaten here several times. Everything has been great. Excellent service, delicious food overall. The spaghetti carbonara is spectacular. Warm and friendly atmosphere. If I were to return to the area, it would definitely be worth coming back.

Excellent service and excellent Alsatian food

Hello, My name is Michel. I live in the Hautes-Alpes 05 region, and I've been coming to the region with my family for over 35 years, particularly to Orbey and the surrounding area. Lunch and dinner at "Au Petit Gourmet" are a real pleasure, thanks to the Alsatian welcome of the waitresses and the professionalism of the chef, Xavier, who owns this restaurant. His dishes are always prepared with great care. He has worked in the most prestigious restaurants in France and neighboring countries. He has always charged unbeatable prices, something that has always amazed me. His cuisine is impeccable; everything is prepared with the intention of pleasing his customers, with his very generous plates, too generous! He is now a few weeks away from a well-deserved retirement. Who can boast of having done the same thing in 2025? Perhaps the eternal thinkers delivering unjustified negative reviews that make me jump, like: It's 11:00 p.m., customers ask if they can have dinner while the establishment has just been washed, tidied, and is about to close. To avoid letting the customers leave with empty stomachs, Xavier offers them pizzas as a helper. The result, the day after, there are online reviews, where it is said that the restaurant owner did not want to cook at 11:00 p.m. for these people. I could give dozens, even hundreds, of examples like this, given the number of meals I've had in this establishment, but it is above all the meanness, jealousy and stupidity that I have heard over all these years, which forces me to react before closing. There have been many people of this caliber in thirty years. There have also been many people whose courage isn't likely to stifle them. Vomiting on the internet is braver than telling the people involved directly. Xavier will never respond to your comments, and he's quite right. I just wanted to set the record straight, because he won't. Enjoy this place again; the decor is exceptional, and so is the food. Don't listen too much to reviews in general; see for yourself; it's the best thing to do. I hope the website displays my message.
