Au Pied de Fouet sur Paris

It's a typically Parisian restaurant, the place is very small but very well stocked, the welcome is extremely warm, there were people there, we were offered an aperitif to keep us waiting. The tables are very close but since the public is just as friendly as the owner that doesn't bother you, the cuisine is completely standard but very well done.

Great place to make friends if you’re a solo traveler. Chanced upon this great place when I was walking alone in Paris, wanted a quiet place to have lunch but it went completely opposite (I wouldn’t have it any other way). It’s a small space so you’d have to share the table with strangers. The 2 groups I sat with were Parisian living and working around the area and they warmly greeted me once they realised I was all alone - even gave me great tips for more local food! 300% recommend; will definitely be back when I’m in Paris again!

Enjoyed this place a lot, felt a very genuine place for locals looking for some homemade type of food. All sorts of people and lots of people so you will sit close to others, A small glas of wine is served directly as you sit down. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere a lot. Next time I will have dessert as well !

Typical Parisian restaurant (frequented by practically only Parisians!) where you can taste traditional French dishes without spending much despite being in a very central area and the portions are quite generous! Make room for the final, spectacular tarte tatin!

Old traditional bistro with simple cuisine and affordable prices for everyone. If you are a good Frenchman, this is the address for you.

Ce restaurant est un monde à lui seul, l'ambiance est chaleureuse, les habitués sont appelés par leur prénom, la salle est petite, les tables sont proches, vous pouvez la partager avec d'autres clients et ainsi discuter et découvrir, le tout sous la direction du patron et l'efficacité des serveurs. Pas de chichis, on est là pour être ensemble et la cuisine est généreuse. Bref, je recommande avec plaisir
