Mussels in Camembert sauce were very, very delicious 😋

I had æuf cocotte au saumon fumé for a starter and it was this salty creamy dish, which I dipped the bread into. I had an Italicus spritz for a drink. My main was Moules Camembert. It had this balance of cheesy, fresh and velvety taste from the sauce being emulsified. The mussels were cooked to perfection with its melts-in-your-mouth texture. Homemade dishes, a varied and delicious menu, consistently pleasant service, excellent value for money—my favorite spot in Honfleur. Updated October 2026: still top-notch! Just a bit of a wait this Saturday at lunchtime...but for the house Normandy tart...it's worth the taste! 😉

I wanted to thank this restaurant; the food was very good, the atmosphere was nice, I'll be back. I was in the area for a weekend. Kudos again to this restaurant, it's a great place to remember! 👍

Here's an example of the €25 menu, a real treat, nothing to complain about, nothing to change. The little Belgian recommends this lovely restaurant. Plus, the staff are very pleasant.

Extremely slow service (40 minutes from the moment we sat down until the food arrived). The fish soup was probably reheated from a jar in the microwave... and the seafood stew (3 types of fish) was made from frozen pre-packaged meats from Picard, simmered with turnips, leeks, and carrots (not bad in itself, but it was frozen...). In short, far too long a wait for what was essentially no food. Update: 2 hours after the above message, food poisoning and vomiting for an hour. Probably rust from my wife's soup...

Absolutly good food and friendly staff

Never disappointed!! The bistro we return to almost out of habit, it's become such a reliable choice. The menu is extremely extensive and caters to all tastes: meats, fish, salads, burgers, and pizzas. Choosing is a real challenge with so many options! Despite this particularly varied menu, a large selection of dishes are homemade, which is worth highlighting. The portions are relatively generous and the food very good, without necessarily aiming for exceptional cuisine, all offered at a fair and reasonable price. The quality of service can vary from one server to another, which is perfectly understandable. The staff also deserves praise for their exceptionally long shifts: a real treat for customers, but perhaps not so much for the team! And when you see how busy it is during peak periods, you truly have to commend the staff for their hard work and stamina. The place is warm and welcoming, and you simply feel at home. In short, an excellent restaurant, unpretentious yet efficient and generous, where you'll enjoy returning. I highly recommend it!
