Commercial for the entire Grand Est region, I discovered the Hostellerie Au Rendez-vous des Amis in Chamarandes a few years ago and I was able to know the different owners but above all observe the positive and significant changes of the current owner who is bends over backwards for the well-being of its customers. Changes have been made in recent months, both at the hotel and the restaurant. It is obvious that given the infrastructure not everything can be modified or changed but the modifications of recent months at the Hostellerie mean that I enjoy staying more and more in this unique establishment less than a minute from Chaumont while being in the countryside and a few steps from the Marne canal. The location of this establishment is unique, it is a haven of peace and tranquility. Cleanliness is omnipresent in the rooms, bathrooms, reception and restaurant. The kitchen is very good and especially the breakfast has fresh bread, "homemade" jam, individually wrapped cheese (more hygienic) and everything a continental buffet can have. The owner prepares your hot drink for you and once again ensures your well-being from arrival until departure. Perfect !

I have been coming to Chaumont every month for two years, and for the same time at L’hostellerie des Amis. This is the only hotel in France to which I am loyal. For what : The location which allows me to go running in peace and quiet along the Marne canal (200 meters away). -The calm of the village of Chamarande, 3 minutes from the center of Chaumont -Frédéric's welcome, his kindness, his kindness and his professionalism are essential factors when we have worked all day. -Breakfast with croissants, fresh bread and the owner's HOMEMADE CAKE! Without forgetting the homemade jam. -The rooms, which are all different, give incredible charm to this welcoming establishment, where cleanliness is essential (a basic criterion, often forgotten by too many establishments). I can only recommend this hotel, its restaurant (the tuna is excellent) and especially the welcome. We are a little “out of time” and this allows us to unwind in a very pleasant setting. The establishment is not a brand new hotel with rooms that all look the same. It is obvious that there are small imperfections which are mainly due to the poor treatment of customers' suitcases who bang on the doors, make scratches on the walls or leave marks of several colors. However, this establishment exudes originality thanks to the personalized welcome from the owner who accompanies the customer to his room and explains all its features. As he told me, this allows him to observe small imperfections. This establishment is in a small village at the gates of Chaumont 52 (less than a minute by car), you can sleep peacefully there. The breakfast includes 100% homemade jam made by the owner's wife in addition to other jams, individually packaged cheese, cereals, fresh produce and once again, it is the owner himself who welcomes you to breakfast. have lunch and prepare the hot drink you choose. When I asked him if hospitality has always been his job, he told me that for him hospitality is not a job: it's a way of life! Let's move on to the restaurant: a new cook has been in place since the beginning of March and is delighting customers who have not been here for a long time, including me. It's okay, that's all, but that's the main thing. Once again it is the owner himself who serves in the restaurant. The Au Rendez-vous hostel is therefore a sure value that I absolutely recommend. The majority of other reviews confirm this, apart of course from those who are used to hotel chains.

Very good stay. I was very well received by Frederic, the hotel manager. With a very special point on the catering part which is really a plus, with a new chef who has completely convinced me. In short, I can only recommend, and would come back with pleasure.

Both the hotel and the restaurant are to be recommended first of all for the value for money. The rooms are large and quite comfortable. The welcome is warm. The setting is magnificent.
